NBA 2K14: Patch #4 Available Now For Xbox One, PS4. Post your Impressions

2K Sports released patch number four for NBA 2K14 this afternoon for Xbox One users. No timetable on when PS4 users will get the patch, but 2K says it is coming 'soon'.

Here are the notes:

Addressed an issue where some users were unable to load/play any previously saved files.
Addressed an issue where some users were unable to properly negotiate contracts in MyGM.
Users are now able to advance to the next round of the playoffs when playing the series deciding game in MyGM.
Addressed an issue with Friend invites that was preventing some users from entering into Head-to-Head and Team-Up matchmaking.
Corrected a case where the game would exit out after the first change of possession during the Rising Stars challenge in MyCAREER mode.
Improved performance in The Park by fixing a number of hitches that would occur during gameplay.
Fixed an issue where the title would be unresponsive when booted without being signed into a profile.
Fixed an issue where the game would occasionally exit out shortly after boot when there was a large number of content update notifications queued up.
Corrected an issue where thumbnails in the MyPLAYER Store and Dressing Room would fail to appear in some cases.

NOTE: All patch fixes are intended to work in your existing game mode saves (MyCAREER, MyGM, etc.).

Contract glitch fixed? Check.

I've haven't had any other problems with the game, so I'm a happy camper now.

Unfortunately this is true. Played 4 games so far with the patch and 3 out of 4 games there were no Player of the game highlights. Deleted a season with OKC a couple weeks ago due to the Playoff glitch in MyGm. Halfway through my current season with the Warriors so hopefully the playoff glitch is gone.

I was told to hold off on buying this for ps4 until after the 4th patch so I'm eager to hear if it's now worth buying? I mostly play quick games and myplayer btw.

This must be the slowest game update I've ever downloaded, but as long as it fixes all the problems it's all good.

why 2k cant fix this highlights problem on ps4?
it is already patch no.4...........

Patch 4 was my last hope for this problem. 2K will never fix the problems with the highlight videos after the game.

Check your notifications, scroll down to 'downloads', and it'll be there if the PS4 automatically downloaded it.

If not, then start 2K14 and it should prompt you to download it.

I am on xbox one and the patch has been terrible for me. I cannot post new threads probably because I'm new to the forums. (can anyone confirm???)

Anyways I feel the need to say this make sure everyone knows so here goes.

"preparing rosters for use" ***GLITCH***

I have been having this issue since patch 4 xbox one.

When I load the game before the intro video it will say "preparing rosters for use". When this happens the game doesn't load the new rosters. Does not allow NBA today highlights to work. And the new jerseys are unavailable.

This Glitch occurs 95% of the time when attempting to load the game.

I uninstalled and installed the game multiple times and unplugged the console multiple times to clear the cache. THIS IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE A SOLUTION. IT's a server side issue on their end. ***2k servers=garbage***

I called 2K support and they said "it may have to do with my wireless connection and a hard wired connection could fix the issue".

I continued by saying that my wireless connection was good on last gen, let alone next gen, and that it is not an excuse as to why the game does not function properly. NO WHERE ON THE BOX DOES IT SAY A ETHERNET CONNECTION IS REQUIRED!!!!!! All my other games work fine and a wired or wireless connection should work for any xbox 1 title. The next gen console defaults to a wireless connection, its 2014 and 2K's excuse is poor at best!!!!!

It's lame excuse for their terrible servers.

When the "preparing rosters for use" glitch occurs, I can still play online games with other players that also have the wrong rosters. THE AVERAGE PLAYER MAY NOT NO THE ISSUE EXISTS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF THE UP TO DATE ROSTERS, and don't realize that the the rosters are wrong.

I have spoken with many players who have this issue and I can confirm its a wide spread issue. I have reason to believe that a majority of people play with the wrong rosters every day AND DON'T EVEN REALIZE.

The 5% of the time the "preparing rosters for use" message doesn't show the game loads properly. THE GAME ONLY WORKS PROPERLY 5% (1/20) OF THE TIME!!!

I will finish by saying that the SERVER ISSUES ARE ON GOING, and the game is BETA at best. The game suffers regularly from lag, input lag, and sudden random disconnects from the rare lag free game.

The game is BROKEN in so many ways i cannot possibly give it more than 3/10 in its current state, mind u this is MONTHS AFTER LAUNCH.

THE GAMING industry as a whole is screwing over the consumer by constantly releasing unfinished game after unfinished game. EVERY year its takes even longer for the 5 or so patches to get the game to be at least playable.

WHAT A JOKE, we need lawsuits and lemon laws in the industry.
Can you imagine paying full price for any other product that doesn't work as advertised for months on end????????????????????

NO BECAUSE ITS ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have simmed a few different new mygms using current patch and current roster. Max trades I see are 5 from cpu teams. Same players. Beasley, V carter, T.Thompson..seems scripted.

Worst part is there are now 0 draft day trades amongst the cpu teams.

I actually miss the prepatch trade logic. At least the cpu looked to fill holes.

Still no patch for PS4? I'm still sitting and can't go anywhere in my 2nd season in the playoffs trying to advance to 2nd round after sweeping the Hawks.......................
