I shall add that to the list. Also Facemask, I have no problemo with Kinect I didn't think I would like it, but to me this thing can revolutionize sports games since most sports are about communication. Just my opinion. I've already detailed how EA could use it. I like the suggestion jyoung just made too. Having the entire coaching and adjustment experience under the sound of your voice would just be way too good to be true, which is why I know it will not get done LOL. I just get the sense they are content and don't want to push the game. We'll see though.

Adding to jyoung's suggestion:

Why can't I just call my entire defense through voice.

4-3 Over, Base Cover 3, 4 Across (shell).
Then if I want to make adjustments at the line I should be able to do that too. Not only that with Kinect, there is no reason why they cannot have guys actually playing their real positions, like Sam backer and then you can call the strength at the line of scrimmage and they line up based on how you call the strength.

Again, I'm fascinated with the kinect and its possibilities, which will probably get largely ignored, for sports gaming, in particular football.

Only problem with requiring the use of Kinect is that when my toddlers talk in the room it interprets it as random things so I'll end up calling a timeout in the middle of the 1st quarter. Fifa had something similiar where it would fire you from your career mode for too much cussing, and it interpreted my kids babbles as cuss words. Inevitably I end up turning the kinect off.

I'm not advocating a requirement. I'm advocating it the way it is right now. Right now you can use it or not. I personally use it to audible. I would like to use it to identify the Mike. You know that feature that is supposed to be in the game but is not LOL. I would like to use it to set up all kinds of looks on defense. When on defense I would like to not only have stunt commands but also have Bluff commands. So any coverage I should be able to go with Sugar; Red; Green; all bluffs by way. But I should be able to get the front how I want it without manually moving guys around.

Now I do think it would be required to call some of the things I've said though. I don't see how that can be done via the controller. Otherwise, you don't have to call them. Your offense and defense would be more vanilla (in the sense that you would just be using what you can do on a controller), but that's fine too.

I came up with the idea in thinking about how in the hell can they get line stunts in this game with an already overly saturated interface for defense. If they are not going to change the way you call plays I thought about how they could get them in. Slapped myself up side the head and said easy. Kinect. Then I say how can they get coverage shells? Easy Kinect. What about a deeper hot route system on offense. Easy, Kinect.

Nice list, crazy to never see a Pass INT or defensive holding penalty. Field goal kicking is just automatic as well. I think special teams as a whole needs to be overhauled to give you a realistic chance of blocking punts/kicks and pulling off decent returns without having to pull some crazy arcade moves to juke the first few defenders.

I would also like to have the ability to call for a double team on a particular defensive lineman.

Also please do a refresh on the playbook. We've seen the same plays for it seems since madden 00. Especially the defensive playbook is really thin IMO.

Although not strategic passing to a RB heading into the flat seems to result in the ball carrier catching and automatically running out of bounds way too often.

If they would just do what I ask LOL, this wouldn't be a problem at all.

The amount of arrogance displayed by EA Tiburon is absolutely dumbfounding. They let these faults exist year after year and hope their net profit ekes out a gain at EOY, driven entirely by gullible 7 year olds who buy madden thinking it is the best sports game the genre has to offer.

I haven't bought a madden in years. I hope others join me. Many others. Enough is enough. Let lard *** Haumiller and his lazy crew know that this piece of crap game is entirely unacceptable.

They also need to make a more efficient way of viewing player ratings and REMOVE the ratings from the game they CLAIM don't matter anymore.

If I am viewing a WR why do I need to see his BSH, PMV, FMV, TAK, etc ratings ?

They also need to go into detail as to how EVERY rating and player trait effects the players and how they play.
This is stuff that should have BEEN done.

Defense needs a major redoing....Being able to make pre-snap adjustments on defensive plays and save them, such as in practice mode, is a must...A play editor, in general, is needed.

Everything else mentioned in the article is also of top priority.

i agree with pretty much everything although i did see a late hit out of bounds penalty within the first five minutes of my first game lol. i was shocked because ive never seen it before in any of the cg games.

Great list! So many of these are embarrassing omissions and have been for years.

This is exactly what I had in mind when thinking about it along with eliminating adding extra things to the game. We wouldn't need custom playbook with the hot route system I'm talking about. You go to practice mode and start putting stuff together via voice command. You wouldn't need a play editor, it's all on the fly. I really would like for EA to do this. We need a true next gen experience. With other games delving into deep story telling and using multiple media platforms to bring these games to life (still gotta hope things mesh well together, but the projects are very ambitious) I would like for football for once to stop with the status quo experience and do something great. Delve into what football is all about.

Agreed as well. My biggest complaint is more cosmetic. Why can't we get a full stable of uniforms? There are so many duplicates for teams (ie 2012 uniforms are the same as current uniforms so why put both in?).

Can we not get every uniform ever worn by each team both home and away? Oilers 90's with blue pants on road? Cleveland's orange pants? Cowboys original road blues to the navy with silver numbers worn in mid 80's? Patriots red pants? Seahawks 80's home and away?

And the choice of having classic logos on the field?

Excellent points and I would like them all changed

Another idea for Kinect. When on defense if my opponent likes running screens I should be able to say before the snap and even after it SCREEN!!! SCREEN!!! SCREEN!!! And my players should break off their pass rush and lock it up. None of this contain this guy and all that mess just to deal with a screen.

They need to get rid of the whole right/left thing on defense and go with strong-side/weak-side.
