I'm going to clean this thread up. Post impressions, not bickering LOL.
Bad news for people who prefer to play basketball games from the overhead camera:
Both the baseline high and baseline low cameras are incredibly choppy and run at what seems like 15-30 frames per second. They are pretty much unplayable due to all the stuttering. It reminds me of playing Goldeneye 007 split screen on the Nintendo 64.
The two side-to-side broadcast cameras run at a steady 60 frames per second. Not sure what is causing the discrepancy in performance.

Commentary is meh.
Breen and JVG have their moments but I find myself blocking them out and forgetting they're even talking more times than not.
Playing against the Heat and they ran a few plays, swinging the ball around(like they do in real life)but most of the time, it was "Pass the ball to Lebron, get out the way and watch him attack the basket". How long do we have to wait before this Synergy DNA deal is up and running? Thought it would be go to the day of release? And it's not like they don't have enough info to use considering the real season is about 3 week old.

Controls take a while to get used to
seems like a mix of Live 10 and Elite
very guard oriented, once you get your defended on his heels he is at your
mercy
post game needs depth or I just don't know the moves yet
the hop step/euro step is pretty effective
you have to call play to get the players to move around/ did notice a
setting somewhere for auto motion, but I like the control calling plays
defense also takes some getting used to
the live moments are very dope
only thing missing is teamplay and I would be happy.
some funky animations at times but live always had those so no big deal

5 vs. 5 online team play was the best mode in NBA Live 10 and they chose to keep it out of this game for some reason.
Watching more videos on Twitch. Watching Pasta play it just now and it likes very near impossible to drop 3's. Everything is rimming out. Pathetic attempt at a basketball game

Gamespot was not too kind to this game.

So in Rising Star Mode, I chose a point guard who specializes in shooting ala Stephen Curry.
My starting shot ratings are:
Mid-range -- 65
3-pointers -- 55
Free throws -- 50
And those are supposed to be my player's three best attributes.
I go out on the court for the pre-draft showcase game, and I am missing wide-open 15 to 20 foot jumpers all game.
I turn down the difficulty to Rookie, and I'm still only making 40% of these uncontested jumpers.
So much for being a "shooting specialist" point guard. I don't understand why they start your attributes out so low in this mode.

Please, just bring back NBA elite and polish it (I KNOW IT WON'T HAPPEN). This game is pathetic. The computer is the Dumbest I've ever seen in a basketball game. If anyone thinks I'm talking crazy, just go look at Elite on Youtube from people who have an actual copy of the game. All they needed to do was polish that game and we would've had a solid basketball game by now. I honestly believe, and there are many who would agree, that Elite had the best game mechanics ever created in a basketball game and maybe all of sports. the control in that game was, ridiculously, impressive. Instead, EA decided to try and remake the game and just made it worse than it was. All this trash talking about bounce tech and we end up with this piece of garbage. What a disgrace. Not mentioning the graphics much because I don't really care about it if they had made a solid game, but even NBA Elite's player models look better.
