This is what a next gen game should be. The graphics are nice, as expected. But, its all the little things that make it stand out. Ronaldo runs and handles the ball like Ronaldo. Weight and momentum really matter. I have been able to fake out defenders with just the left stick. I get them moving one way and sometimes I ca cut it back and they stumble, leaving me in the clear. The living worlds presentation really works. I am playing as the US v Mexico at home. The crowd started swelling as I got clear to shoot. After I scored they went nuts. The best part was the replay of the goal. As it was going in, the crowd started putting their arms in the air and standing up. They started standing at different times, not really laggy but not all at once. It really is a great effort from EA on this one. Mkre later. Its time for the second half.

I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of this besides a solid game with minor visual upgrades. I had watched the videos coming out and wasn't too impressed by them. After getting some time with it, I was very pleasantly surprised. The bigger clubs with recognizable players are spot on and everything looks very polished. It plays a little differently than current gen and the shooting mechanics seem to be much more apparent. I have really enjoyed my couple games so far and think it is a very good upgrade on what they already had in current gen.

Only played it for a few minutes at Best Buy. Absolutely loved it. Best way to describe it is "smooth". Really looking forward to playing this game, in fact I'm heading home right now to fire up the new console!
all the menus are in spanish and i cannot figure out how to change it.. all i did was put the game in to install it.. anyone else have this problem?
Bp2 Triz, somehow when it opened you selected Spanish. Are your PS4 menus in Spanish also, or just the game itself?
And man, as far as impressions. This game (in my opinion) blows away current gen. It is smooth, fun, and looks stunning. If you put it on a TV in a bar no one would notice it was a video game. Loving it quite a bit so far.

Been playing for a few hours. Does anyone else get a slight lag on goal kicks?
Really liking what I am hearing. Has anyone who has been playing know if gameface is in for mycarrer or is that not with us any longer?

So did they remove create a tournament or play 1 season? All I see is career as a coach or player?!

MUCH better than the demo kiosk version was. I'm actually very impressed (no pun intended). To me, it feels like a fresher experience than the current generation's version, the tweaks and additions are pretty awesome and the presentation is the best of any EA-branded game in a long while.
I only have 2-3 games under my belt so far, so I'm not able to accurately give impressions to the best of my ability. Same features, similar gameplay but a much more enhanced, refined and polished experience overall.

Looking forward to some in depth impression. Would like to know about graphic, ai, game speed, build up, player individuality on all sides of the pitch, cpu pass accuracy and build up tendencies, op headers.

(Answering from memory since I'm not in front of my console right now, but I should be close enough for you to find it.)

Quick question: I'm a soccer novice. I know very little about the finer points of the game outside of get the ball in the net. I hear great things about FIFA though and I'm tempted to purchase this game on the PS4.
Is there a tutorial? Practice modes? Anything in game with will help me learn the control scheme and how to properly play this game?
Any help or advise would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

@Bronk_Bonin... This is a practice and tutorial mode. It is well done and pretty easy to get the controls down. Of the 3 sports titles I have on next gen, I rank them 1)NBA 2K14 2)Fifa 14 3)Madden 25.
Fifa 14 is a pretty darn good launch title.

still this is disappointing...i thought it was a full version of FIFA...
they stripped out all game modes except play now, ultimate team, coach/player mode, and online.
where's "PLAY A SEASON", OR "CREATE A TOURNAMENT/LEAGUE"???

Great game. CPU teammates finally help you, momentum is much more important, atmosphere is great, air game is much improved.
