So the consensus I'm seeing from reading various threads is the gameplay and graphics are spectacular. Unfortunately people are unhappy about the menus, lack of editing ability, incomplete rosters, and the use of VC in My GM mode (among other things such as lack of editing, no 30 team control, etc.).

Seems about par for the course. Next gen system that wanted to look great and play great, add a fancy new feature that sounds great (MYGM) but didn't fill in some of the details that were needed.

I'm on the fence. I only play sports games and I might wait to get a PS4 until The Show comes out unless I hear some very positive things about the trade and free agent signing logic in MYGM mode and some very positive feedback on the quality of the rosters and draft classes. In the meantime 30 team control on the ps3 it is.

Ugh tried installing again and now it is stuck at 47% and being loud. I think I have a broken NBA 2K14. How long should this take?

So how do you go about making your MyGM? Is it just like making your player for MyCareer? Could someone maybe upload a video of it?

I think the consensus is the other positive aspects far outweigh the complaints. I can't imagine a sports game fan passing this up for 4 months, but to each his own, i guess.

A lot of goaltendings in the Rookie Showcase. I got a big off balance and blew right by him with my PG. So fun.

And all the varieties of shots are so sweet. Was open, a guy came under me so he landed on one foot and bounced a couple times. So pretty.

Man I love how physical it is when guys are fighting through screens. You can really feel them making the effort.

Wingspans are in the game. My MyPlayer is a center and I went full Larry Sanders mode (max wingspan).

Not only Wingspans but Shoulder Width and Body Length!!!

David Lee looks even better after giving him his wide shoulders and stubby arms.

2k sports just takes detail to a whole new level with this game. To the crowd chanting "Beat The Heat" to the way Wade falls to his back on the floor after making a lay up. The way the jerseys look while playing in broadcast view, to the way Lebron arms and tattoos look when he's getting ready to shoot a free throw. The game is CRAZY!!

Anyone else notice that they have all Lebrons mannerisms in the game? To the way he dribbles, pushes off players when he blows past them, to the way he fixes his wristband after making a 3 pointer. WOW!

Only issue I have is I can't figure out how to do My Career with full 12 minute quarters.

One thing that's disappointing is that the VIP stat tracking is very limited in this game. You basically get shown how many wins and losses you have and that's about it.

I haven't played current gen 2k14 very much, but I'm doing a quick game Heat vs Spurs while the game installs. Chalmers takes an open three and lands awkwardly. He's squirming around on the ground holding his knee in pain while the spurs looked to push it down court. I have never seen an injury on 2k13 while I was actually playing, so that moment was amazing!
