Its insane why we cant have a custom camera and play from some of these angles. EA better hope they get the rights again and corner the market or see there days fading away in this genre.
Honestly EA would be still making it. IF EA didn't have the rights to the NFL then other companies could make the game as well. In the past other companies share the rights to the NFL. But EA got greedy and bought it up completely to keep 2k from making it anymore. Even if EA did not renew the rights after 2014. The can still make NFL football games. EA would just have to give the NFL certain % of the profits. Then that would open a chance for any other company to make another NFL football game as well.

Well, I did, and I see a whole lot of repeats. Vikings fan #69 appears 7 times. Vikings fan with the purple collared shirt appears 5 times.

Still no sign of women, children, or elderly people. Just 20 to 40 year old males.
It looks like there is less than 10 people there, they just repeat them. No diversity whatsoever. Look at that guy with the yellow hat on the right side of screen. There must be glitch in the matrix because he's right in front of himself and I see him 7 more times as well.

Most of the people act like the normal people at EA have some sort of agenda to lie and be dishonest...Almost as if that's part of their job description...No saying that is you but the culture here for it to be more normal to hate on a game in a forum while lifting up another game with similar problems is almost absurd.

I am in no way suggesting people overlook their qualms and issues with the game but it really almost seems like the Madden forum exists to serve as a punching bag for every nitpicky complaint from people who probably never liked Madden anyway or just want to be one of the cool kids who don't like Madden...If I hated Madden as much as some of the people here I'd never even be in this forum after my first or second disclaimer that I detest everything about the game. So IMO if someone is on record as indicating they can't get by the animations or gameplay then its a wrap cause that's not going to change anytime soon...Why keep complaining?...Just move one and figure out that Madden has not been and likely will never be the game you want it to be. Not even if you complain because believe it or not more people like than dislike the game.
I check these forums to see what kind of game EA is putting out this year. Because I seen about 6 different version of Madden NG since the E3 reveal, typical EA Sports false advertisement BS. Since '95, I''ve put plenty of money into EA's pocket and they are still living off their past successes. When the game gets old and stale, I have the right to complain. You seem ok with being lied to, as long as the online servers work fine. But news flash, the online server is the best thing Madden has going for it, because the player models, animations, and gameplay are GARBAGE. Do you honestly think they've been working on this game for 2 years like they claim?

If EA chooses to purchase a license to stop any other company from making a NFL game, then we as the consumer should complain until they make a game worth charging us $60 for or give up the license. But what do we know, we're only consumers...

Agree with most in here regarding Living Worlds. I wonder if they will even show us the last blog related to it?

It is unbelievable how often people talk fact on here and it couldn't be any further from the truth. Not saying this is the case but all I have seen on the topic was the Q&A when the question was asked and the answer was "We will talk more on true step at a later date"
Rex Dickson Confirmed this on a podcast within the last 2 weeks, true-step is active when the user is running the ball or the user is controlling a defender, and it also applies when the CPU is running the ball. So, yeah, it is a fact. In the podcast he said for awhile they were thinking it was just going to be only the user ball carrier, but the team busted *** and got it in for user defender and CPU ball carrier. He also said that they would like to have all 22 players using true-step either next year or the year after

A lot of the other twins are right next to each other and a lot are in the same animation also. Not a big deal tho.

I know, I completely understand but even NBA2K is still using repetitive fans and they are as next gen as it gets.

So you are advocating we say nothing and thereby lend tacit approval for these subpar developments?

We are the voice of the consumer. The very core of which will sustain or break this company. I should think EA would be glad to hear from those who put the numbers on their pay checks.

I will never understand these kinds of posts.

It looks like they are redoing the commentary engine as well.

youtu.be/fq4-lkrZ-ZM

I think NBA2K will have some competition in this department. Finally new commentary that actually reacts to the game itself!

I think people just get tired of seeing it all the time. Most people know that Madden has under performed for years, but feel that if 7-8 years worth of bitching, complaining, and suggestions(that mostly go unnoticed) has not helped - why continue to do the exact same thing every year?? it's amazing to see the how many people still jump at the chance to rip the company and game apart for their sub-par efforts. How are people still surprised by this fact?

The group of people who are consistently disappointed with Madden on a yearly basis still come into every thread and complain about the same stuff as if it's going to fix anything. If people are that disappointed, and obviously this route of complaining and bitching is not working, than why not try another route - like speaking with their wallets and giving no credence to it all.

It just feels like wash - rinse - repeat, but expecting different results -

Just my .02, but everyone is entitled to give their opinion of course.

He makes a good point. People have been ranting for nearly a decade now on this franchise, but for some reason, the expectations are never lowered. I'm not that excited myself about the next gen footage I've seen so far. However, that is the way of life, and we can only rely on hope that things get better, but I would never expect it considering the history that plagues it.

The types of posts that are commonly seen (too many negatives per your view) are really a mere reflection of the product they are putting out. A barometer of sorts.

Had they been inundating us with amazing features (that actually worked) and innovative game play over the years the tone of the resultant posts would no doubt be overwhelmingly upbeat and complimentary.

EA is, by and large, reaping what they sew. Positive or negative sentiment aside, the common thread among all the posters here is that we care enough to spend time following this company's developments because we all want a better game of football.

Good point. It may well be the case.

I am not doubting a single thing that you say. That said - If I was married to a girl who was constantly cheating on me, but promised to never do it again, but kept doing it over 8 years - I would change my approach.

If I kept going to a message board for relationships to complain about it - eventually people would call me an idiot for allowing it to keep happening, and not leaving her - isn't it time to leave her if your feelings of disappointment are that strong??

That would be a great analogy if you were capable of changing a person in the same way, and as effectively, as you could change a game.

Many of us - myself included- are just hardcore football fans and need to get our fix. That affliction and its resultant shortfalls are on our shoulders to bear.

The bottom line is, there is no place else to go. No other bar full of girls to choose from. This is the one we are stuck with and we didn't have a choice. All we can do is try to get her some therapy.

LOL - fair enough. Fine, keep dating her, but your *** better not drunk dial me at 3am to complain!

I would also like to thank you for having a mature conversation about 2 different points of view, without feeling the need to degrade one another - truly appreciated good Sir!

You took my post all wrong. What it meant is that i hate the game, hate the way its been for years, hate the "new features" crap every year, hate how it seems like they dont try, hate how next gen will be the same and many more.

Just didnt want to say all that so left that post towards the game, not us users.
