EA has released details of the second title update for Madden NFL 25:

General Updates
- Improved stability in all game modes.
- Fixed an issue with Gameface, which made eyes render gray.

Gameplay
- Tuned in-game injuries which were occurring too frequently.
- Tuned pull blocking in various scenarios on the offensive line.
- Tuned down broken tackles when using the Truck Stick.
- Fixed an issue with toss/sweep plays when game speed was set to Slow

Madden Ultimate Team
- Fixed an issue with Solo Challenges awarding players a win without finishing the game.
- Fixed an issue where offline users that earned a Gold in a Skill Tutorial would not receive the content in Madden Ultimate Team.

Connected Franchise
- Fixed an issue where some players from an Imported Draft Class would not have facemasks.
- Tuned ratings for imported draft classes (Coming in too low compared to NCAA Football 14 ratings.
- Fixed an issue with accelerated clock in CFM Head-to-Head games.
- Fixed an exploit where users could make trades outside of Week 8 from the web.
- Fixed an issue where the same draft storylines would appear in consecutive seasons.
- Fixed an issue where the Vikings stadium overlay would show unrealistically low temperatures and heavy snow during the preseason.
- Fixed an issue where toggles for Heat Seeker, Switch Assist, and Ball Hawk would be OFF in game even though they were ON in league settings.

Presentation

- Reinstated touchdown celebrations in all online game modes.
- Improved logic used to select GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Game.

I assume that this doesn't work if your draft classes are already loaded and your season is in progress. Can anyone confirm?

No fix to the repeating draft class bug in CFM? Considering this breaks the entire offline CFM mode, unless you have NCAA and use imported draft classes, its omission seems rather glaring.

They do mention repeating storylines. Since this issue is fixed in online, I'm guessing that's what they're talking about.

The good
- Improved stability in all game modes.
- Tuned down broken tackles when using the Truck Stick.
- Fixed an issue with toss/sweep plays when game speed was set to Slow
- Fixed an issue with accelerated clock in CFM Head-to-Head games.
- Fixed an issue where some players from an Imported Draft Class would not have facemasks.
- Reinstated touchdown celebrations in all online game modes.

Overall this is a decent list of good. The tuning down of those truck broken tackles is nice because they were definitely overpowered. As silly as it is, a nice TD celebration adds to the moment. It's a pretty small list. I'd like to see DL shed blocks a bit easier and a better pass rush. Also would like for man coverage to be a little looser.

The bad

I think this change is horrendous. They were perfect with regards to how often guys get injured. Look at the damn NFL right now!?! We finally had SOME injuries and they tone it down. Ridiculous

We'll see
- Tuned ratings for imported draft classes

I'll have to do a few tests on this to see how they turned out

wow I guess no one has issues with no fix to sim stats? Especially for qb's are you kidding me? Just give us the sim stats from madden 13 after the patches and they were much more accurate. Cant believe no ones mentioned those yet.

honestly im glad there fixing the injuries. i lost my backup qb on the first play in the preseason which aggrivated me cause he is a rookie im developing. the helmet glitch with the rookies is nerve wrecking. nothing like seeing an ion 4d mask on a revo helmet. i didnt even know the rookies were rated too low i thought it was my schemes. but it took too long for this patch to release and i believe we will get a second nxt gen patch before a third current gen one

Oh look what a surprise anther complaint thread.

In all seriousness......the two most important fixes for me were.....


1. Repeating draft classes in CFM - I am about to advance to week 2 in year 2 and will wait till I DL this patch before doing so. I love using the Madden created draft classes....way more fun. And now I don't have to worry about my current CFM being ruined by this bug that is now fixed.

2. Stuck in the mud on "Slow" speed on pitch and toss plays - I can now go back to the absolute best game speed in M25 with slow. I developed my sliders to be played on slow (can be played on normal as well) and now I can enjoy the great animations and organic feel on slow.


Tuning down the truck stick was also good as it was very powerful.

Overall.....since I already love the game....this just tunes and fixes a couple of major things.

I wish Auto Subs would work right.....but I solved it by going back to default fatigue.....and doing my own subs. It is what it is. I am not going to let that ruin what I feel is a really fun game and the best playing Madden this gen.

I have not had this much fun since last gen with Madden. And it will probably go down thus far as my favorite Madden game ever. With Madden share......it has taken it to new levels. Rysumm's classic rosters are insanely good.

No kidding. The injuries were perfect. I'd get a 1-5 a game with a major injury every 2-4 weeks. Back up quarterbacks actually matter this year unlike in madden 13. CPU teams would have anythere between 0-8 players out at a time which is totally realistic, just look at a real life NFL injury report. I REALLY hope they didn't screw this up because injuries are one thing that actually worked right in this game.

BTW, isn't this what the injury slider is for?????

The blog features the top level fixes, but I have a more detailed list for you here. It should also be mentioned that this does include a large number of stability improvements, which I won't go into mundane details about. Here's the bigger list:

General

• Fixed an issue with Gameface, which made the eyes render gray.

Gameplay
• Tuned in-game injuries, which were occurring too frequently in some cases.
• Improved an issue where the game ran slow in some cases on PS3.
• Tuned an issue where players with a high Catch In Traffic rating were still dropping too many passes when they were hit after a catch.
• Tuned pull blocking on the offensive line.
• Tuned down broken tackles while using the truck stick.
• Fixed an issue with toss/sweep plays when the game speed is set to Slow.
• Tuned a defensive blitz when using 4-3 Stack: Thunder Smoke.

Ultimate Team
• Fixed an issue where offline users who earned a Gold in a Skill Tutorial would not receive the content within MUT.
• Fixed an issue where the user would be credited with a LOSS in the History Panel instead of a WIN when the user’s opponent quits the game.
• Fixed an issue with Solo Challenges awarding players a win without finishing the game.

Connected Franchise
• Fixed an issue where users would get kicked from the servers while advancing their franchise.
• Fixed an issue where some players from an Imported Draft Class would not have facemasks.
• Tuned ratings for Imported Draft Classes. (They were coming in too low compared to their NCAA 14 ratings.)
• Fixed an issue with importing custom rosters where real NFL players have changed positions.
• Fixed an issue with accelerated clock in CFM H2H games.
• Fixed an issue where if a user created a new character in a CFM where they are the only member, other users couldn’t find/join the CFM.
• Fixed an issue where the News Center would display the wrong player in the Draft Stories photo.
• Fixed an exploit where users could make trades outside of week 8, when doing so from the web.
• Improved depth chart philosophy so every player at a position is graded on the same player type.
• Fixed an issue where the same draft storylines would appear in consecutive seasons.
• Fixed an issue where the Vikings stadium overlay would show unrealistically low temperatures and heavy snow during the preseason.
• Fixed an issue in Owner Mode when making scheme changes would reset after advancing the week.
• Fixed an issue where toggles for Heat Seeker, Switch Assist and Ball Hawk would be OFF in game even though they were set to ON in the League Settings.
• Fixed an issue with re-signing players.
• Fixed an issue where the Goals tile would be locked in the Playoffs even when the team was still playing and achieving goals.
• Fixed various incorrect records, names and dates in the NFL Records screen.
• Fixed an issue where a user’s playbook would be changed when they started a CFM with a custom roster.
• Fixed an issue where Owners were not notified when they made the Hall of Fame after retiring.
• Fixed an issue preventing users from entering some passwords in Private CFMs.
• Fixed an issue where CPU controlled teams were allowed to release injured players.

Madden Share
• Fixed an issue where filters were not updating.

Nice list. Will have to fire Madden up again. But I was really hoping the 87 Eagles helmet would get the wing added back on. That plain green helmet annoys me to no end.

Also wished they fixed the fight songs to play fully after a touchdown, not cut off 5 seconds in with fake crazy train....
