Check out the Madden NFL 25 screenshot comparisons between the current-gen and next-gen version of the game. Also, be sure to scroll down to see some more, posted by Kevin26385.
Graphics look ok. 2k just has us spoiled. 2k is next gen, madden is a port.
can't compare a baskball game to a football game...if you ask me nba live looks better then madden as well on next gen..each sports game focus their graphics on different areas of their game
I don't know man. I think 06 graphics are garbage. Maybe it's my lack of sleep but I don't see the comparison.
I'm perfectly fine with M25 next gen graphics. If you aren't then that's your prerogative.

Sorry but Madden 25 is a straight up port. Its the same thing with fifa 14 on the ps4. I watched the playstation access video and its a straight up port. They have added 3d crowds, 3d grass, better textures and improved the baked lighting. Its a port. At neogaf, we already had confirmation that ignite is the exact same engine they were using before. Its just a marketing term. The lighting is still baked and not dynamic like in pes 2014 on PS3. The clothing textures pale in comparison to fifa 14 ps4 clothing textures and the game simply isn't next gen. There is no two ways about it. The animations are still janky, and you should expect more. I expect more and i will not be purchasing this game. Only fifa and nba 2k for me. Even nba live 14 running on ignite looks like an xbox 360 game. Its truly embarrassing.

Ok then.
I'm not even gonna bother getting into it. I just don't feel like doing it. In fact I don't even disagree with some of the stuff you say.
Since you are new, I just wanted to let you know that your posts should be more constructive than this in the future.
How anybody can defend the side by side of Russel Wilson is beyond me. Anybody with a working set of eyes and a copy of Madden 25 current gen knows that Wilson on current gen is way darker in skin tone alone than the next gen model. It is NOT just a lighting issue, his skin is legit darker period.
For some reason what EA saw when they made Doug Martin
they gave him muscle defination, its just doesn't look exactly like him is because EA's player modals is not that big compared to old gen games that they made and that was one of things i still miss about the old player modals was their size
I think that Doug Martin screen is more about the perspective. He's leaning forward and the shadows cast on his jersey give the appearance that his head is way bigger. Don't get me wrong the proportions aren't perfect by any means, just less apparent than what that particular screen may lead on.

No, it's a problem that has obviously carried over from current gen. Guys like D. McCluster, smaller backs have a ridiculously disproportionate head in comparison to their body. I was hoping for the player models to be redone, that apparently isn't the case.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I saw this, and then had to sit back and shake my head because when you point it out that is exactly how off the Martin proportions on the next gen screen shot are.

This is what im talking about with how baffling it is that EA chose not to at the very LEAST "fine tune" player models. With all the graphical enhancements that they are boasting about they have some how forgotten the number one detail in any football game. The human beings on the field and how they are presented and depicted. I mean are we gonna be stuck with these for the next 10 years now or are they going to address this in future years? Do they think player models are "spot on"? A lot of questions to be answered here.
Am I the only person who cares for equipment look at the pic with the real Russell Wilson his facemask only has one bar at the top and ea wont try to fix for nothing. The way his jersey sits on his arms are horrible imo but regardless to say the lighting on the game does look good tho
Don't look like a big difference to me, just better lighting.
You're implying that doesn't make a world of difference. In my forays in art, accurately capturing lighting is the most important trick you can do that makes something look real. Getting shadows dark enough, getting contrasts right, etc. This is hugely important, and hard to notice for most people (the viewer might say, "something about this looks wrong," and not be able to pinpoint it, but it turns out to be emulating the lighting).

First of all, they were wrong. Can't you tell by looking at the current gen pic? That, my friend, isn't gold. It's tan.
But in the next gen pic, that is pretty darn outstanding. Assuming they didn't mess up the how pants look in shadow and night versus bright light (mustard-y in shadow/night, bright yellow-gold in light, like in the next gen pic below), they seem to have finally gotten it about as close to 100% right as I can imagine.
This is close to perfect in terms of color/tone/material reflection. The only possible improvement would be to dynamically show color reflection (red from jerseys, green from field, depending upon angle), which is beyond unreasonable to ask for. Simply having a metallic shine on the helmets is all I and many other 49er fans ever wanted.
While I'm not going to say the graphics aren't a little underwhelming, this is a launch title for a new console. Show me one instance where a sports title has had awesome graphics as a launch title compared to how it looked two-three years later on the 360 or PS3 or Xbox/PS2 for that matter.
