After watching the whole thing. I wondered a few times if the other team had a user controlling it. The cpu plays with a better sense of urgency. Every possession had a nice flow to it. When the user ran that play, it happened so fast I didnt have time to catch it setting up. I'm excited right now to this game looks really good. Still i saw some clipping issues and I dont like the way animations on the sidelines when a player has the ball looks, but overall

Looks like you're not stuck into animations when you're near a defensinve player as the ball handler. He doesn't have to press turbo to get into a jogging rythm again.

I think they've changed the sound of the rim.

I liked that miss pass by Lebron after that spin.

I see the small hitch youre talking about, but he steps into the pick right after that happens. What youre talking about occurs at 6:41. Either way, we both see it.

How unrealistic can this mode be, CP3 - Lebron and Howard? They all joined, meanwhile CP3 and Howard have signed 5 year deals so we are or should be talkin about them joining up in 2017-18 which isn't the case.

Then we got 3 ""max"" deals with CP3-Lebron-Howard meanwhile you still got Faried in your starting line up who will get at least 7-10 million a year when his next deal is coming up.

Credibility = non existant.

I do wonder if the scripting of the non-Heat version will allow Lebron to end up on any team, or if it is predetermined that he go to the Knicks. I think it would be more fun to put him on a basement team like the Raptors or Kings and try to get rings without any support.
I truly think this mode is preset to specified team that follows its story line and there should not be an option for Lebron to go to any teams in the NBA. Simply, there's not way to make commentary to have each story line with so much variation. I think it's may be the limit in terms of graphic for this generation and it does not look any better other than additional animation. I would wait for next generation NBA 2k14 instead.

Yeah that's what i was thinking, how the hell would they have got Faried as well as 3 max players. The knicks also don't have most of their contracts off the books until 2015, yet they sign Lebron in 2014 when they are into the luxury tax? What?

Yea 2k is pretty much a big fantasy game overall at this point on current gen not to much in this game has to do with the real life aspect of the NBA, at least nothing that I can see.

Hopefully next gen wont be full of the same fantasy style of gaming that it is now becuase I wont be able to take it. I need authenticity for me to enjoy this game.

I pledge allegiance to the mamba that I WILL NEVER play this mode!

So because there are fantasy modes within the game... the whole game now = fantasy.

NBA teams are still there, association mode is still there, season mode is still there, online association is still there, online modes are still there... all of those are non-fantasy modes... but the game still = fantasy only.

Upgrading defense = not real basketball
Upgrading pick and roll defensive rotation awareness = not real basketball
Re-tuning and balancing gameplay to be more competitive = not real basketball

Gotta love OS.

Instead of getting a better Association Mode this is what we get, unbelievable.

How do you know this?

So just because they've only released a little bit of info on Assoc. mode that = nothing done to it? If they've fixed some issues with Assoc. mode wouldn't that = better?

How do you know you're getting this and not an updated association mode? I'm pumped! Now we just need MYTEAM news and hopefully it comes today.

He feels this way because it has been the same exact thing every year when it comes to releasing info about the association mode. There is always guys like you saying "how do you know" and "wait for more details", then we wait get a little summary a week before the game comes out of so called changes then when we get the game nothing that 2k stated seems to be changed, and its been that same cycle for the last 3 to 4 years.

How about for starters that I'm not blind, this dev team for the past 3 years either say they will release info on Asssoc. Mode and it has been underwhelming or they don't release info on Assoc. Mode and it's still underwhelming.

I'm sorry that I refuse to accept mediocrity when I've been supporting 2k for 14 years. Madden for the first time since 2007 brought back a legit Association Mode and also improved on it by including Connected Careers.

That blows 2k's Assoc. Mode out of the water. cthurt said it perfectly, I'm done with this just wait for it crap, either have a great Franchise Mode or I'm not buying. Even MyPlayer has been meh, a lot of potential but meh.

If I could sum up the Association it would be fairly simple, 2k gives us a oil change when we need a new transmission.

I agree. Im pretty frustrated with 2k after watching this video. What's ol buddy doing a fadeaway from 5 feet behind the 3 pt line anyway? And I thought the leaning lay up cheese was removed also? I wasn't trying to be an *** in my previous post. I guess I am just trying to be optimistic, as not too many OPers are about the CG 2k14

I think it looks very well made. Not much of a LeBron fan. Not sure if I'll try it. Kudos on making a great looking mode just doesn't excite me that much.

Underwhelming for your expectations?

So when was the last time 2K had a good Assoc mode in your opinion? Are you going to give them the same amount of time that you did Madden to come back with a 'legit' Assoc. mode? 6-7 years.

CCM still has major issues within it, just visit the Madden forum here and you'll see.

No one is forcing anyone to buy anything.

As for the oil change, ya I agree in premise, but not everyone can afford to buy a new tranmissions especially when the one they have isn't broken, just old and sometimes replacing the transmission in a 'old' car, doesn't make the car better necessarily... if your looking to buy a new car with a new transmission, new paint, new bells and whistles, just wait for Next Gen.

Yeah, I actually like the look of the gameplay. I haven't been able to watch the whole clip but from what I was able to see, it looked nice. All the gameplay additions you mentioned are pretty neat and whenever I get the game (likely when that real life NBA fix starts kicking), I'm thinking I'll be able to have a solid time with this release.

That said, I still understand the gripes. People can take things to the extreme a little (such as saying a game is completely fantastical with no real life base), but sometimes there's some truth in there somewhere. As it stands, I get it if the offline simulation/replication crowd feels a little left out on the feature front.

I mean, video games are inherently altogether fantasy. But I think there's a fair amount of folks who like trying to experience a fantasy that's at least loosely based in reality. And for NBA fans looking for that experience, MyTeam, MyPlayer, Crew, Online, and Path to Greatness is probably not going to provide a lot in that regard.

At 7.15 the play is able to start before every players are at their respective spots. Makes the play execute really fast. nice.
