NBA 2K14 Features Crew Mode - 3-on-3 or 5-on-5

The achievement list teased the announcement earlier, but 2K Sports has now confirmed NBA 2K14 will feature Crew Mode. As Shade8780 points out, it looks like it could be current-gen only, at the very least we won't know about its status on next-gen just yet.

I have no interest in this mode now. They completely ruined it if you must have 5 people now to play 5v5. That was a dumb decision, they always allowed the cpu to fill in before for crew and all of the other online modes in the past if you didn't have enough people.

Man , they are really doing everything they can to mess this up aren't they ? Each crew is gonna need alot of players and almost all of those guys are gonna have to have multiple my players to fill different positions based on who's online . Lets say you do have the required 5 people online , well 4 of those are guards . The other team coincidently has 3 centers , well forget rebounding .

This is so dumb

O btw , it is a game of 21 for 3v3 and 5v5 . So yeah , great job 2k . You guys completely blew it , and this is a pathetic attempt at bring "crew" back . Just blacktop with records

All you mostly saw in 2K11 Crews were a PG, a SG/SF, and a C/PF. That's all you really need (3 ppl). Most of the time full 5 v 5 human games had terrible spacing and the games weren't exciting at all.

But tbh this is the worst news I've heard...like ever.

I'm at the point now where I feel betrayed by 2K as a company.

First 2K12, they didn't even speak about Crew being in the game at all...until AFTER the game was released, fully realizing they'd lose business if they let us know before it came out.

Then 2K13, garbage a$$ blacktop with no rules and so much cheese you could open a deli. They could've patched in a full court version of blacktop at the very least to satisfy some people...but that's too much work.

Now 2K14 "Crew's are back!"....right.
Because in 2K10/11 you needed a full team of people to join a game. I'm 22, my friends work, I work. If all 5 of us are on at the same time that would be a miracle.
And I don't even want to get into the blacktop only, game to 21 b.s.

THIS IS NOT CREW, call it what it is "Blacktop 2.0"...more like 1.5 but I'm being a little gracious..to a game that isn't gracious to the people who play it. Go figure.

Seriously, this is the last straw..I'm not canceling my preorder but if next-gen isn't what we want then I'm gonna be playing some NBA Live this year..

Right. No point in arguing w/ that guy. He sounds crazy as hell. Crew is a manual mode? And if we don't have 5 players we should play 3v3 lmao. He says some of the worst stuff I've heard.

I wish I was still in high school and I aint have priorities man lol, all my friends could be on and I could actually play 5v5...

But I'm taking classes and working, my friends too, no way I'll ever have 5 on at the same time to test out "Crew"...cough*, I mean blacktop part 2 lol

2v2 at the minimum is just fine because they our at least 2 manual teammates on each Crew. A Crew could and should be required of at least 2 people.

Like I said, telling people if they can't find 5 ppl in their crew to play 3v3 is crazy. Especially if they ever bring back the real Crew Mode. I personally ran w/ 3 guys at all times and that was perfect. Instead of playing w/ 5 guys in 5 min quarters. Done discussing it w/ you though because you have always said some of the craziest things I've seen on here.

The cpu is not better than a human.

They can't shoot, their d isn't as good, and their IQ is terrible.

Go back and watch 2K11 gameplay, the cpu was HORRIBLE.
I lost a lot more games when I had more computers on my team than human players.

My Crew was tough, the cpu meant nothing. If you played realistic ball you could ALWAYS beat the cheesers. Not the cheaters with the uncapped giants, but the spinning dunk bums and stuff like that.

I don't think anyone needs the CPU. It would be worse if someone was playing a zone w/ all human players because everything would be getting tipped or stolen. You making it seem like CPU was better than a user. None of those guys were effective like you're making it seem.

You're acting like people could just give it to Bron or Dwight and he would go off. I am sure I played more crew than you and I've never seen someone feed the CPU and they get consistent buckets. It was actually dumb to have the CPU to shoot for you on offense. And their defense wasnt all that good either. You're over exaggerating and I hope the CPU is back when Crew comes back.
