NBA 2K14 Features Crew Mode - 3-on-3 or 5-on-5

The achievement list teased the announcement earlier, but 2K Sports has now confirmed NBA 2K14 will feature Crew Mode. As Shade8780 points out, it looks like it could be current-gen only, at the very least we won't know about its status on next-gen just yet.

This years Blacktop was just to show 2K staff if there would be any hackers in the mode and if they should bring back CREW back. Also, I could care less about crew but it's nice to see that 2K is listening to the community.

All it's going to be is MyPLAYER Blacktop with a designed logo and played on the street. We wanted the original My Crew mode with upgrades then a new MyPLAYER Blacktop.

The fact that it's current gen only is ridiculous also. All of my friends are not getting 2K14 on the 360 to get it on the PS4.

Love that they took out the CPU players. Everything will be so much more fluid now. Hopefully I can find 2 extra people to play with but 3 v 3 should be fun. Beggers cant be choosers just be happy the mode is back

Still need more info here. Do we have to use 5 human players to get a 5v5 fullcourt game? It doesn't bother me that games are on the blacktop..but will there be regular announcing and stat overlays? Is the game to 21 like blacktop last year?

We're the customers , we don't have to just say its the thought that counts and pay them for something we don't really want . If they're gonna do it, do it right . They know what people loved from 2k11 crew , now just implement it like people are "begging" for

I've never played Crew Mode. I've always been an offline player, for the most part.

Glad to see the requests to bring it back didn't fall on deaf ears even if it's only for current-gen.

I'm actually discouraged by this news with it being either 3v3 or 5v5. I so happen have me and 3 other friends in real life who are die hard NBA2k fans and have been wanting crew back since they have removed it. We all 4 really can't play together in a 5v5 match, with our last man being the cpu like 2k11?

Just guessing but i feel like the reason there keeping it on blacktop because having the created courts and jerseys was just too much for the servers to load up which caused some of the connectivity problems.

This is good news for those that have wanted Crew to be re-inserted.

My hope is that 2k somehow separates MyCareer from Crew. One of the needs of Crew is rapid development of their player so that they could get to do what they enjoy. This is important for Crew-mode players.

Hardcore MyCareer players want a longer more "realistic" development period so they can emulate a career of a NBA player and most don't want to be "prime MJ" the moment they step on the court.

So my hope is that 2k makes a clean break between the two modes so that fanatics on both sides get improvement to their favorite modes.
