NCAA Football 14 News Post

At E3 I got a chance to take a look at NCAA Football's progress in the EA booth. I got full hands on time with the game and was allowed a lot of access to EA's NCAA Football franchise. From what I could tell, the franchise has come a long way in just a year's time.

From everything i have seen it looks amazing. I actually enjoyed 13. I didnt play as much because Battlefield 3 has taken over my gaming life since it came out.But i doubt this leaves my console until GTA comes out and once i beat that its going right back in.

Hopefully that means the DB glitch is gone.

I couldn't reproduce it in my time with the game at E3.

I really need to know, will it be available on PAL systems as well?

BTW I will parrot Steve completely here. I was super impressed with how tight the game played and how great it looked. I'm probably going to cancel my Madden preorder and wait for NG on that one, but NCAA has be excited beyond what I thought I would be.

One last thing before I head out for the day: the all-22 cam is awesome but it takes some getting used to. I don't know if it was just my perspective at the show, but it felt weird around the middle of the screen. We'll see when the demo drops.

Oh, and they changed what happens with INTs again, not sure how I felt about it. They let the INT animation play a little longer before swinging the camera, unlike in past years where it was pretty instant.

This is extremely great to hear. Ive been missing a great 'AA football game and hopefully this year will be the one.

When you say "called timeouts realistically" does that mean they finally fixed the CPU consistently calling timeouts with exactly 2 minutes & 1 minute remaining when trailing on offense even when they were a fraction of a second away from the snap?

If they are able to import ncaa14 draft classes into NG Madden 25 would be awesome!

Good preview Chris.. You mentioned the little things, by any chance did you recognize any stadium expansions added and did the PS3 version compare to the 360 version…

Awesome impressions. I'm ready for this demo.

I used to be a year around online-dynasty guy, I thought those days were behind me but this might pull me back in. Goodbye Free Time, Welcome Back NCAA

Wow, that is cool they are trying to imports from current gen to next gen. Too bad I am sure it won't work cross platform 360 to PS4. Still pretty cool though.

This should be the last Game I buy for this Gen

I'm not sure how they are going to import draft classes from NCAA 14 into Next Gen Madden 25. Just hope they don't screw up how players look, like in Madden-NCAA 12 importing. Good news nonetheless. NCAA 14 is looking to be smooth.

I'm just glad that the sidelines and endlines aren't "no ints" zones!

is it safe to assume that with IE2, and the work done to the run blocking, that the running game will be on par with what madden '13 had to offer?

Hopefully much better, especially for the AI.
