Am I the only one that noticed the monster lag/freeze during the Jags?
Also, for me, (Jets) it's the same as last years. And the year before. Same art. Numbers too scrunched IMO.

These guys are clearly NOT sports or NFL fans other than the incidental exposure they have had working on Madden.
It's as you pointed out with the 49ers: here we have an iconic franchise whose very icon is the color gold, and yet instead of the gold helmets they have given them tan. And think I know exactly why: They are going off of a two dimensional picture of the logo, using the drop tool to pic up the color, and pasting it on the model. They are NOT looking at actual film to make sure the helmet is right. Why? Because the 49ers were not a concern to them. And why that? Because the only team they were extremely concerned about is the Redskins... because RGIII has sold the most jerseys. Because it's not about getting the NFL right. That's only an incidental concern that only comes up when discussing sales and popularity.
The NFL is a secondary concern to them, I am almost certain. They are all gamers first, and NFL fans only incidentally. That is, and has been, the very thing wrong with Madden all this time. Their priority in their life is video games. The NFL is just a type of video game to them. If the Madden team is ever really going to turn a corner, they need guys who are NFL fans FIRST, and video game fans only incidentally.
When that starts to happen, when instead of guys like Ian Cummings who grew up in Tennessee and hopped on the Titans bandwagon, they have more guys like Kane699, who is a diehard Cowboy fan, that will be the time that Madden starts faithfully representing the NFL.
This is the saddest and most pathetic thread I've ever read. It's a freaking video game people.

If you don't want to play the game because the jersey numbers are a tad bit too big knock yourself out. That's just dumb.

It reeks of laziness, stupidity and downright lack of caring. There are fans of every single NFL team and NCAA team, and yet, every year, despite threads devoted to UNIFORM ERRORS, they still manage to **** up way more than they get right. It's pathetic!
If uniform correctness doesn't bother you, then why the **** are you in this thread???
The day I go into a gameplay thread and tell people that the Madden team needs to focus more on uniforms you are all welcome to slap me, I will even give you my address.

I bet you would. Why? Because that is the IDENTITY of the team.
Guess what the IDENTITY of the 49ers are? GOLD (the name comes from the 1849 GOLD rush). If the helmets are TAN instead of GOLD, it's like putting a bat or pterodactyl on the Seahawks and Falcons helmet. It's butchering the team IDENTITY, man.
That's why it's important. Not because I'm obsessed with number sizes and sock stripes. It's because I'm obsessed with the IDENTITY of my favorite team.
The uniforms looked great last year. From what I can see in the YouTube clip they look great again. But the video itself isn't very clear. So how can you conclude that the colors are accurate or not? Why complain about the socks on the home uni when EA and Nike collaborate on the unis?
The teams with multiple uni options change them around frequently. Because of a myriad of reasons.
Back to the colors, the game is still close to two months from launch. I'm sure the big issues will be ironed out.
If not, go back to playing 2K.

With graphics improving at the rate they have since the new millennium, I expect artists to pay even closer attention to detail today and in the future. Greater graphical quality, especially in relation to the next generation of consoles, means more noticeable errors when real-world details are overlooked.
I understand that people don't mind if their favorite team's uniform looks incorrect. Hence why so many fans who decide to buy counterfeit jerseys don't seem to see the lack of quality compared to legitimate ones. However, presenting a real-life product at its most realistic and authentic often comes with including the details many gamers overlook.
Other sports games on the market do well to correct uniform, stadium and general art errors with every yearly cycle (and even add new/fixed uni's via DLC such as NCAA). All we're wondering in this thread is why Madden isn't held to that same standard.

BTW, these black on black uniforms just won the "greatest uniform of all time" contest on NFL.com so it would be neat if EA could get them right.
Still haven't seen any screens showing how the sleeveless jersey looks now that they adjusted the stripes on the sleeved jersey.... worried.
