Dribbling animations look really good. I wonder why they turned off shooting. I liked shooting around on the practice court in Live 10 too. But that was the only thing I liked about that game.
If they can get 5 on 5 (animations) down right, Live should be a good game.
That did look very good, but, this is the second time they've talked about dribble moves, which concerns me. Nothing about how the game plays as a a whole, just about individual stuff.
Even if you are a casual player and will want to play a real basketball game that plays like basketball like you see on TV, not like NBA jam, which you play more like a party game, not like a single player sim game.
If EA wants to cater to casual slam dunk players they should tell us that live 14 is going to to be like that in now, ahead of time, instead of later when the first reviews come out.

Even tho its very early, I would rather have them talking about something gameplay wise vs a bonus pack.
Looked good and fluid. Didn't see anything all that amazing, but I guess this needs to be seen inside an actual game to appreciate it.
Definitely better than what was shown with 13. If that's how fluid/smooth the game moves/plays/controlled overall, then they're definitely on something here...
Spoiler
...even though it's a 2010 standard and already should have been there, but I'll take it.
Kind of looks like Live 10 and Live 08 had a next-gen baby.
Edit:
Talking about hourly updates, I wonder if they'll update hairstyles, facial hair and things like that. I hope they can.

Judging from my online experience with 2K, those people don't exist.

I think this would be a dumb decision for EA. 2k has established itself as the arcade basketball game to beat, and it's pretty much impossible to take that role away from them. I really think EA's only chance to be successful is to deliver a game which is focused on a more mature audience that appreciates realism and doesn't mind a bit of a learning curve.
2k is pretty much the whole package you could expcect from a basketball video game if you don't mind a lack of attention to issues that are really not a concern to most casual gamers. It's a fantastic game for a broad audience, with some annoyances for more serious bball fans. So I don't see EA having success by trying to deliver some middle of the road game trying to please everyone.
About the video, I'd say the same as with the 2k14 trailer...we don't know nothing about the game yet. Since I'm tired with the flashy 2k action interpretation of basketball, I hope that EA at least doesn't screw up completely. I mean a refined kind of Live 10 would be enough as a start at least for me.
This looks damn good for what I can see. To me that elite video posted looked weird and clunky, ,this is looks more complete.
I dont mind EA promoting features like dribbling, if it gives us control which is something its competitor does not offer. Cant blame them. Pretty sure they know what they are up against.
Just give me a solid start without all the bells and whistles. Well dynasty is a must and something for the online folks.
That looked very good, the dribbling and movement was fluid from what I can tell along with some nice foot planting unlike the previous games that got canceled. Still got hope in these guys.
Warp dribbling, player model not sized correct, basket is still to small, angle of rim, camera and court are not realistic........
What warp dribbling?
What player wasn't actually sized correctly? Was he standing next to another player or a ruler for you to determine this?
How big should the ball look for these 6"+ players?
O wait the angle of the rim u say? Is it 5 degrees off left? Or 90 degrees off right?
Oo my bad its the camera and practice court they completely created themselves, yea they really screwed that up!
Let me correct myself that floor we could barely see was the cavs home court, and does look kinda small. Should be much more Spacing between the 3point line and half court it seems.
But all in all the dribbling looked pretty good graphics too. Don't like the always hunched dribbling but I didn't see a lot of the game yet to say that's always how it's gonna be.
Again tho dribbling was always nba live most consistent feature. Dribbling always has worked for them, better than 2ks to this date. But what about the other stuff off ball movement, moving on defense, and playing defense should be they're focus.
Hard to really judge based on that vid on this phone's YouTube and that angle of whoever that was supposed to be dribbling altho I assume Irvin but I expect something very decent from EA with this tsch for Live 14.
