NBA 2K14 - Next Gen Reveal Trailer

2K Sports released their Next-Gen NBA 2K14 trailer during the Sony E3 2013 Press Conference this evening.

The 'NBA 2K14 – Next Gen Reveal' segment featured NBA 2K14 cover athlete LeBron James discussing life as "Video Game James" with a digital version of himself, while showing off some of his on the court moves in NBA 2K14. All of the footage was NOT pre-rendered and shown from a pre-alpha PS4 build.

So does one wait for next gen to buy the game? I dont know if I'll be able to wait a month. I may just chicken out and get the 360 version on release, then trade it in, and get the next gen version with the Day One Bundle.

It would make way more sense for the console to come out in August for us sports gamers. (Madden & 2k)

I hate the NBA 2K dev team right now... That ish just sealed the deal for me on buying next gen this year. Thought they'd need a year to get back but that doesn't seem to be a problem. 20 d--- seconds just cost be 400-500 dollars smh

Man I had a feeling that they were busting their butts on 2k14 graphically, because I didn't see any big leaps in terms of graphics from 2k12 to 2k13, a lot of players had the same cyberfaces, hair and colors were still off.

2k trolled us man.

Yeah 2K13 definitely was a step back graphically, but the gameplay kind of made up for it in ways. They kind of had to give and take due to the limits of what the current consoles were capable of. But if the game looks anywhere near as good as this, were in for a good year of video game Basketball.

Yes, this is a pre-alpha version. If guys can recall how different pre-alpha looks from near final from year to year, how crazy this looks right now can appreciated even more.

True, but i think this time around the modding will probably less necessary unlike previous years were everything needed a mod to look decent or up to date. I'm thinking they can finally make good on the claim of game art being updated with the new hardware power in the Xbox and PS4.

Another thing, the player's bodies look so much better, they aren't bulky and the jersey's are formatted right, the skin tones are spot on. I'm just afraid that they might try to make the game look better and end up messing up. Like a artist that keeps on erasing and he eventually ruins the picture because of it.
