NBA 2K13 Video - 6.6.13

2K Sports has released a teaser video pointing towards an NBA 2K14 trailer before or during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

All that is shown in this video is NBA 2K13 footage. Let's hope we get to see some actual footage from NBA 2K14 on Thursday.

I expect to see footage from 2K13 advertising for 2K14, and that is ok with me to a degree. But what's not ok is showing marvelous graphics in a commercial for a game that won't even look like the real game. It's like when a fast food restaurant shows a commercial for a burger that falls down from heaven and is all neatly stacked, but when you get it in real life, as soon as you pick it up stuff falls out and when you take a bite, what's left of the burger explodes in your hand--it's not how the commercial made it out to be.

I agree to some extent, but I wouldn't even mind some exaggerating in terms of graphics if they at least showed something about actual gameplay improvements. You know, stuff like making spin dunks and self alleys actually defendable, break down animations triggered by the defender over-committing instead of auto-stumbling caused by stupid sig gimmicks, giving defender a fair chance to counter every AND1 iso move, playcalling, touches etc...

So if there's any substance to future previews, they could actually render and photoshop as much as they want. 2k13 graphics would be good enough for me if they show actual work being done on gameplay, too.

Any next gen footage will floor me. So there's no way that'll happen.

Early look at the cover athlete(s) as well, I'd wager.

There are so many amazing rosters in the rosters section to choose from! Take advantage of the fact we can share and download rosters now. A couple of years ago you had to manually edit every single player on games or buy a memory card with the rosters on it.
