Closest to a similar Pic I could find...

It's huge in the film and picture, but is was rendered in CGI.

They will have everything ready when E3 comes around.

If you pay attention to the crowd and sidelines, I believe that they are not CGI, I think that is how they are going to look. I think the 22 guys on the field were CGI, but the stadium, crowd, and sidelines look a lot like more polished versions of NBA2k or MLB The Show, same goes for the crowds and sidelines in the other videos, especially FIFA.

To take it a step further, go back to the 06 video and look at the crowd and sidelines, other than the camera flash at the end, that's how the crowd and sidelines look now.

While we do know this is CGI now, I don't think this is too far off from how the game will look, except for the skinny player models and oversized football. Remember this from the PS4 reveal?

Game photos look amazing. Looks like they are replay shots, and not actual gameplay photos. I enjoy them nonetheless.

We won't know until E3 unless Tiburon explicitly points them out.

"In-game assets" could include textures, character meshes, stadium meshes, animations, sounds, and/or music.

Dynamic Sidelines ftw

# 47 BIGE888 @ 05/27/13 02:05 PM
is anyone as excited about this whole dynamic sideline thing as i am?? the sidelines on current gen are just so bare it takes a lot of the immersion out for me. i'm nitpicking here and by no means does it make or break a game for me but it just sounds so awesome. next gen here we come!!!!

Your joking....right? Please tell me that wasn't serious. So your telling me, that a console....a non up-gradable console...are stronger than PC's? You could't possibly be serious.

NBA 2k13 on PC for example.

That's a great example, because that picture actually looks like in game footage, and not CGI, like the Madden trailer obviously was.

I don't see where he said that at all.

The only PC's he could be referring to are low end PC's.

That's pretty much the way I took it.

He even said how many people at home have high end gaming PC's. I agree with him that that number is probably fairly low relatively speaking.

In that case, touche. I thought he was saying next gen consoles will be the equivalent or better than a gaming PC.

This next gen will only make PC games better.

Maybe its just me but outside of FIFA and especially for Madden and NBA Live/Elite the player models just always look like cartoon characters to me. They need to go for a more realistic look IMO.

They've been like that forever, thus it is reasonable to assume that's the style of model that EA wants. And that's something we will just have to accept.

Madden Needs some type of Photo Realistic technology or something

I'm sure it'll look nice. The last gen looked nice. But I need it to MOVE nice. To FEEL nice. Players need to have weight and life to their movements, not the same obviously cycling running animations that are so robotic and unnatural.

My ideal is something a bit more precise but very similar to the Assassin's Creed III running animation. It's cycling, but it's a long cycle and even minute alterations to the direction makes the run swivel and meander about.

And that kind of thing is noticeable even from gameplay vids, so I'll be eagerly waiting. I don't wanna have to completely skimp out on the next gen cycle again. I haven't bought a Madden game in 7 years.
