I just saw this from a previous update (1.18 I think).
"- Player Progression issue in Franchise fixed. This would cause older players in season/franchise modes to regress at a faster pace than intended."
So... was it worse before?
Also, I'm remaining cautiously optimistic because if we remember the strikeout numbers were way too low when the game came out. SCEA fixed this (under the "hood") in one of their updates and said that it wasn't a "bug" fix but was a balancing issue.
Perhaps the stats in franchise mode/RTTS are fixed even without it being specifically listed. I'm definitely going to check this out when I get home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
If anyone has time to do more extensive checking on this I would appreciate it. I'm not at home right now and can't run the simulations myself.
I'm mostly curious as to whether, post 1.23 patch, and in CURRENT franchises whether the statistics are more realistic as they years pass.
Very disappointing. I was hoping for some fixes to the play by play to correct the timing of sayings. Tiered of Matt saying Game one of a series when its game 3.
Apparently SCEA doesn't find the Opening Day bug that big of an issue... Very annoying that I'll be stuck with that bug for every single Franchise game.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought there was a workaround to this. Like simming the first opening day game separately. You don't have to sim your game, but the first scheduled opening day game.
I'm going to run a simulation and test the results as soon as I get home. I'm hoping that these "fixes" for statistics weren't seen as "bugs" by SCEA in the first place.

There is, but for others like myself who waited for the OSFM rosters, and put a lot of work into a franchise, it's a pain in the *** to have to restart everything because we didn't sim something a certain way.

True there is... But there isn't a workaround for people who already started their Franchise/don't want to start over and weren't aware of that issue.
There have been progression and stat problems in about every MLB the Show this gen.
They usually fix it the second patch, chill out.
The progression problems this year not even that bad compared to years past. It doesn't come into effect till about year 10.

So they can fix the USA futures unis but dont have the Rays Home powderblue?????? hmmmmm
I'm pretty sure the color issues with MLB uniforms will never be fixed. They go buy a uniform guide.. whatever the guide says is what they put in the game, regardless of what they wear in real life. It's disappointing, I know, but don't expect it to change.
