In game saves are the most important they need to add back in for me. Being a father, it is tough to play a game that usually runs an hour or so in one sitting. The 2nd most important feature is the import draft class. That makes NCAA a must purchase for me yearly.

Create a play. WIth so much innovation in formations and plays it would be nice to have create a play.

I wish they would bring back Owner mode and please bring back CREATE A TEAM!!!! I miss that. I loved taking a new team with a horrible roster and making it into a contender. Just please make it better. The last time they had it, it was the same for many years with no change. I still keep Madden '12 just for the create-a-team.

Never understood the hate for QBV. Would you say that QB's like Sanchez, Kolb, and Carr could see the field like Rodgers, Manning, and Brady?

My list

1. Mini-games w/ the mini-games from NCAA 07. Rushing attack was addicting and fun when you have too many guys at the house.

2. QB Vision - A face button controlled cone would be way more realistic and convenient than the analog control that was given.

3. Extra Point - I don't understand why EA couldn't hire a dev that worked on the 2K5 build to do this right. They hired Mike Wang to help out with Live 10 and that turned out to be great, until he left EA due to...nevermind it's not worth the card, but you get my point.

4. Imported draft classes - Obvious reasoning.

5. Create a play - One of the things I loved about the last gen Madden was that I could get a look at my high school playbook against the CPU AI with the passing routes.

I don't see how the vision cone could make a comeback now that QB avoidance moves are mapped to that thumbstick. I guess click the thumbstick to activate the vision cone?

Training camp needs to come back instead of the stupid radio show.

Getting gold on all of the training camp games turned me into a beast when I played competitively. It really allowed you to work on your stick skills.

Matthew Coe,

You and I need to go to the EA office and show them this list, and say. "PUT THIS IN GAME NOW." This is probably the greatest thing I've read about Madden 25 since I started keeping up with this game. I agree a hundred and ten percent. For some odd reason, EA really dropped the ball on Madden 13, in my opinion it was not condusive to people who play OFFLINE, it was all for those who play ONLINE, connected careers was the dumbest thing ever. No CPU vs CPU, no way to feel like you were playing an actual franchise mode with YOUR team.

Totally agree on Owner Mode. I absolutely adored that feature in Madden 2004.

Heck, I still look for sports video games that will let you be the team owner, and I go hungry. The closest I can find is Football Manager 2013 (that's soccer in the US and some small countries), and as awesome as that game is, even that misses the mark. (Still a wonderful game that's worth playing, even if you're not a soccer fan, though.)

With this leaked announcement of Eddie DeBartolo Jr., it's got me really excited for this year's Madden, so I looked up his episode of "A Football Life" on YouTube. Wow, he sounds like he was a wonderful owner. Any long-time Niners fans on here want to vouch for that?

I remember back in the day, I had the option to build a new stadium (another feature I simply loved). I even got to choose the corporate sponsor--in my case, the place wound up being named the Castrol Dome, after the brand of motor oil. But what really sold it for me was hearing Al Michaels ACTUALLY SAY "Welcome to the Castrol Dome" as a game started. Man, I love the little things like that--it's almost enough to make me dig up my old copy of Madden 2004 just for that!

I mean, surely we can prove we can run a sports team better than Jerry Jones or *shudder* Bud Adams.

For those that don't remember, Bud Adams is the man responsible for taking the Houston Oilers and moving them to Tennessee. And on top of that, he one-upped Art Modell--he deliberately spent a season as the "Tennessee Oilers" just so no future Houston NFL team could use the name. Even Modell didn't do that.

Want to send a failing team to Los Angeles? Can do! Want to send a team to San Antonio or El Paso (population about 750,000)? Equally possible! Want to send a team to, of all impractical places, Anchorage, Alaska? Oh heck yeah. (And yes, Anchorage really was an option in Madden 2004.)

And hey, with the vast array of options that Owner Mode enables, you could move the Cleveland Browns--again. But only a sick jackass would do that.

...I think you can tell from my geeking out that I'm really, really hyped. Seriously, looking forward to the 20th for more news!

But in the meantime, just in case I'm disappointed, is there any other sports game that lets you be the owner? Does Out of the Park Baseball 14 do that? That game looks neat.

I'd just be happy with a 32 Team Control Franchise mode & a menu system that didn't look & navigate like something from a SEGA Master System.

  5. Classic teams (that you could edit, too).
I remember back in the day being able to play as the Houston Oilers with all new players, if I wanted to. Those were good days.
You spoke to my soul with that wish List! *The key is no freezing up on me during my draft! Just wanted to give u a well said on that list..

I vote for bringing back the ability to play a season offline with multiple teams....can't really get into Madden 13 because that feature was taken out

Without a doubt, mini-camp drills. Very fun, and useful if you had a young player you wanted to help progress faster in the off season.

I miss the options of Create A Player. Everything is so default now when in the past you could change there faces along with there hair style. I also miss the animations of the highlight stick for elusive players, as well as being able to hit a persons helmet off.

I think that's part of the greatness of it. It is truly a read and react feature. You could select the receiver that got highlighted from the snap, hot route a quick read in case of blitz, made it harder to throw on the run, and truly put a value on a good quarterback.

Classic teams and the mini-games would go a long way toward getting me back on the Madden train. If classic teams are completely editable and feature just a little T.L.C. (correct classic logos, some classic stadiums, era-specific equipment options) it adds a heck of an angle to sports games. Part of what kept NFL 2K5 fresh for me all those years was the ability to air it out with Kurt Warner and the 1999 Rams, or blast up the middle with Icky Woods and the late 80's Bengals, or dominate with Barry Sanders and the 1991 Lions.

Adding select legends to current teams though? Just not the same at all. Editable classics? I'm all over it.

No to Tony Bruno and the vision cone.I never had a problem manipulating the stick to get to the receiver I needed to.I generally pick plays that I don't have to go through more than two reads often. If you had a bad qb and were getting nano blitzed you would live off short slants. The cone wouldn't do squat to differentiate.I believe player traits are much more useful.

I'd like to see player morale because it brought a more interesting aspect to how you would handle players during the season and off-season.I'd also like to go back to a one year feature in Madden '94 where they would cut into your game with a game winning fieldgoal attempt from another game.
