NCAA Football 14 News Post

EA Sports has posted another NCAA Football 14 blog. This one covers the sights and sounds from the game. There are plenty of little details in the blog, but most of you will be interested in the new camera views that are available in the game (Zoom, Wide, Coordinator).

Quote:
Last but not least is the Coordinator camera, which provides a view of the whole field initially, but dynamically zooms in during the play to follow the action. Traditionalists can still enjoy the Standard camera, but the new camera offers additional perspectives for anyone that wants to experience the game from a new angle. In addition, all these cameras will also be available in Road to Glory.

To me these changes wont matter one bit if it still looks like crap on PS3. 360 the grass is great lighting works. PS3. The grass looks like ****. The lights dont even light up if you look at them. Its ridiculous.

Yes don't give us new and improved gameplay with footplanting, infinity engine 2, force impact, crowd audio, new uniforms, FINALLY new camera angles, etc...
Don't you know all we want is to see the bottom of our favorite teams shoes????

You must be this guy http://youtu.be/phG-Mod8L8o

I like wide and broadcast angle... But I don't wanna get further out I wanna get as close as possible. Zoom will be put to good use and if I keep getting blind sided by a CB safety well ill go back out but looks good.
And am I the only one who used their own music for gameplay after a first down, third down, or whatever? I remember it being in 2010 I didn't feel like doing it all over again though.

What about that huge, ugly EA Sports logo right next to it? That has driven me crazy for years.

You guys are killing me with this cleat talk. We're about to go into next gen consoles where they'll have every cleat imaginable and you'll be able to see the dew from the grass on each cleat it will be so detailed. Lets get the gameplay straight and they can wear pink cleats for all I care.

Happy to see that looks to be improved..
First thing I noticed.

Cleats? Seriously guys CLEATS? F the gameplay, it's all about the cleats huh? Come on now, let's worry about something important shall we?

We aren't gonna go down this what's more important road.

Ends here.

Finally a ZOOM Camera in NCAA 14! It looks good but looks are deceiving in a screen shot. hopefully it plays smooth and adjusts properly during gameplay. the other 2 angles are a little far away. accually way too far away for my liking but it seems others like them so im happy for them. hopefully the coordinator cam zooms waaaay IN after the snap. I guess we will see soon enough. I still think a custom cam is the answer this series as well as madden needs but, this is a start.

I'm gonna say it one more time. This is not gonna turn into a cleats vs. gameplay thread. I'm pretty sure there is at least one of those threads going on somewhere in here.

This is the only warning.

Same here! It's all going to come down to how the CPU runs the option. If they fixed that I'm in.

Haven't seen it posted so hmm.. Here's all 3 pics (angles) that I found... All side by side for comparison.

Considering the Playbook was about presentation and mentions visual upgrades to the uniforms cleat talk fits in. There is a huge section of NCAA and Madden fans who want perfection from a visual standpoint which includes every aspect of the uniform.

I do agree that the gameplay needs serious overhaul, this was not a gameplay post.

So there is no broadcast camera from the side ?

# 36 NikeBlitz @ 05/01/13 09:24 AM
Nice new angles, but no custom camera ... in 2013 ?

I like the wide camera angle. I'm probably one of the few people on here who played Madden 09 for the Wii(I played that game a ton, I wish you could make custom routes like you could in that game) The camera in that game reminds me of this new wide camera angle. The 2nd camera angle in d11king's post is slowly growing on me, both are better than the old one. I could see how the wide one could make reading defense that much easier, especially when the play unfolds. I would have to play it to see how feels on offense and defense, because from first looks, it looks more of a offensive friendly camera(it's nice if you are a CB being able to see your guy though.) Best part of the pictures; Purdue is up by a touchdown after the first quarter.

Considering I see football through a coaching lense, the new "coordinator" camera is beautiful. Pure beauty.

With this dev team there is no telling what's going to be in next gen.

Prepare to be disappointed. Greatly disappointed.
