Did they remove Jared Jeffries? He was released 2 days ago, too bad his recent +5 speed boost due to his new shoes did not translate into reality...might have helped...

Still 15 players missing without a good reason...oh and Joel Anthony (0.6 blocks in 9 minutes) has a well deserved 93 block rating. Guys like Bernard James and Chris Johnson are pretty much better shot blockers this season. But Johnson is not even on the roster after playing 24 games and just as much as Anthony, great job 2k!

It's amazing how clueless the insider really is, might as well call the next game Insidehoops 2k14...apparently 2k is more interested in catering to common basketball media narratives ( "stepping up the game"->closer sig skill, franchise players ->Josh Smith as a superstar shooter, focus on overall ratings) than to actually mimic the real league.

pretty good update. They also updated many players hot spots. Ones i have noticed:

Kevin Durant: Hot spots EVERYWHERE across the 3 point line.
Carmelo: Took away hot spots on left hand 3 point side and top of the key. Moved hot spot to the right of the top of the key. Also added a mid range hot spot
Russel Westbrook: removed mid range hot spot
Jeremy Lin: three point hot spot on left hand side added. Mid range hot spot moved over to the left(top of the key)
Dwayne Wade: Took away all hot spots. Only has 3 cold spots
Jr smith: took away two three point hot spots. One hot spot on right side of three point line.
Deron Williams/Joe johnson- took away both their mid range hot spots. but added a three point hot spot on left and right side.

There are probably more, i advise everyone to look these up as well to confirm

Maybe ld2k sent the messege to the insider to step it up

Blackhail your dream came true

Melos a 93 again.

I noticed this as well with the spurs. The only ones I think we're changed is Kawai Lenoard and Danny Green's hot spots. They both have a lot more hot zones than previously. Greens hot the whole way around the 3 pt arc now.

So Wade has no hot spots? Real stats say otherwise...http://stats.nba.com/playerShotchart.html?PlayerID=2548

Real midrange stats for Lin:
Left side center: 7/26
Left side baseline: 6/21
...so he gets a hotspot while shooting 28% from that area?

Both should in fact have midrange hotspots...

I am surprised they updated hot spots. 2K this should be the standard going forward at least after All-Star break you would expect this. LeBron has the hole right side as a hot spot behind the three before he had only one

Thabo has multiple hot spots on the three point line now.

From a rating standpoint I was expecting Curry to have the highest SID rating but he is like tied for third with an 84 behind Melo's 88 Nash/Allen 85 and then it is him.

Yeah, but if the ones posted are correct (haven't checked them), 2k randomly changes hotspots with no relation to real life performance.

Wade's was updated, he has a cold spot where he had hot spot. The only thing is we don't know what data set 2K used to justify these changes. Truthfully they probably should have updated everyone's stats based on season statistics. But it looks like they gave a couple people hot spots updates and a small few people saw rating updates. Thabo is shooting 40% off 3 attempts a game but they kept his 76 three point rating and gave him hot spots to pad his stats

lol ABOUT TIME. i actually just wanted him to be a 92 again but a 93 will do lol. they lowered his three also which is accurate. his offensive rebounding, hustle and consistency have all been increased. also his SOD is an 88 now. higher than kds. i was shocked by that as well. I was also hoping for maybe a teague update or jeff green but you cant have everything you want.

ooo i read that wrong. i thought you said why lol. but they updated his lay up to a 82. his SOD to a 88 his post fade to a 87. A consistency to a 95. his offensive rebounding to a 80. his offensive awareness to a 98. his hustle to a 77. his on ball defense was increased as well.

Sounds like this would be a solid roster to use with NBA Today now that the playoffs are here. Wonder why we couldn't get this quality of update from 2K during the season?

# 16 Angel_G @ 04/20/13 11:21 AM
Finally updated Melo to what he deserved

# 17 wayytoocheezy39 @ 04/20/13 11:51 AM
they should boost Wade's rating to at least a 94.. he's been playing his best basketball since his converse days (most efficient at least)

# 18 mango_prom @ 04/20/13 12:24 PM
Now Melo deserves his OReb increasing, can't dispute that...but so do a lot of other players, which shows how clueless this "insider" really is.

C.Anthony
1.6 OReb -> 80

T.Young
2.6 OReb -> 59

M.Harkless
2.2 OReb ->76

MKG
1.6 OReb -> 68

T.Allen
1.6 OReb -> 38(!)

Great job! Not biased at all...

My theory is that it's more manageable...2k insider is just lazy at his job...why bother with updating all the teams when there are much less teams to update during the playoffs?

Knew I was right about making Steph's 3 a 94 and his stamina went up. He pretty much not gonna miss from 3
