Steph's 3 is a 94 now? Oh lord

All I've seen out of this thread is praise. I mean, it's cool and all how Melo got his O-Reb upgrade, but look at Mango's post.

Besides, did the Insider even use any stats to justify his changes of some hotspots?

I would have liked to think that we would have gotten a bigger update for every team NOT in the playoffs since their seasons are over, and then update the playoff teams as they go on, but whatever. Good thing I don't play much online anymore.

Poor Gordon Hayward.

The thad young rebounding rating may be the most egregious rating in the game. That man leads his team in rebounding yet he is in the 50s and 40s in rebounding

C.Anthony
1.6 OReb -> 80

T.Young
2.6 OReb -> 59

M.Harkless
2.2 OReb ->76

MKG
1.6 OReb -> 68

T.Allen
1.6 OReb -> 38(!)

Great job! Not biased at all...

yea that Thad. young stats i didnt even know about. If melo rebounding is an 80 then he is SEVERLY underated in that department then. Gordan Hayward should just privately dm the insider an spaz lol

What else did Curry get increased?

It's pathetic. Now I would never argue about some stupid stuff like "His mid range should be 2 points higher" or whatever...but whoever is responsible for rosters has no f*cking clue about anything.

Right now, the great Joel Anthony has a 93 block rating. To put this into perspective:

Wit Chamberlain -> 92...now there are no block stats recorded...but really?
Tim Duncan -> 86...he's playing only 30 mpg and averaging 2.7 blocks, just like a decade ago. A top 5 shot blocker even today...but to the insider, an out of prime Tim Duncan blocking about as many shots as Ibaka and Howard is clearly inferior to Joel f*ing Anthony...

I know it's only a video game, but since I've spent money on this mess, I feel kinda ripped off...

They could have at least got the playoff teams rosters correct with all these missing people

nice ive been saying nate robinson needs an upgrade. i dont see these rosters out for pc though =/

We need the type of system NBA live has in 2k

# 30 mvspree8 @ 04/20/13 03:01 PM
Chris Wright wasn't retained after his 10-day contract expired. Mavs ended the season with Josh Akognon.

side note, melo a 93 is a joke. you can't 93 a "one dimensional" player

# 32 Angel_G @ 04/20/13 03:38 PM
watch some nba games and you will see melo is clearly not a one dimensional player you dont have a clue about the nba game. One dimensional is steve novak all he does is shoot

While I don't necessarily disagree with increasing Melo's stats, this obsession of many fans with their favorite superstar is exactly the reason 2k is in no hurry to provide even semi decent rosters. "Melo needs...Lebron clearly deserves...Durant needs to be...".
18 players still missing, ratings are a complete disaster, tendencies and playbooks even worse. But everyone's glad that an already overpowered superstar (with sig skills, everyone can drop 30 ppg even on 5 min quarters) gets even better.

# 34 bigball12 @ 04/20/13 05:41 PM
How do they manage to leave the headband off of Q-Rich? He has worn a headband his entire career. He looks really strange in the game without it.

# 35 UniversalNoob @ 04/20/13 07:14 PM
Well I think PC users don't deserve an upgrade...

And did anyone else notice: Online Association rosters has not been updated for over a month! When I start a new OA, I still get the 82 OVR Lawson, 68 OVR Vucevic, 69 OVR Tobias Harris, 69 OVR Stephenson, no Lockdown-Defender Paul George and all the updates...Rockets don't even have a backup PG due to Brooks still being in Sacramento and Beverley not in the game yet... I tweeted the 2kinsider, ronnie and ld2k about 20 times now over the last weeks, but still nothing is happening about this...

Well...I hope they change something in 2k14. Some ratings are....really ****ed up. Richard Jefferson shoots 31% from three and got a 87 rating! Then you see some players who shoot 40% and they got 70 ratings -.-

Blackhail your dream came true

Melos a 93 again.
It was only a 92 that he wanted.

# 37 Angel_G @ 04/20/13 09:22 PM
Last year they left off some guys that don't even play as well, if they play they will make it to the roster trust me.

I was also hoping for maybe a teague update or jeff green but you cant have everything you want.

ooo i read that wrong. i thought you said why lol. but they updated his lay up to a 82. his SOD to a 88 his post fade to a 87. A consistency to a 95. his offensive rebounding to a 80. his offensive awareness to a 98. his hustle to a 77. his on ball defense was increased as well.
That looks like a good update to me. His three was too high, but his post game wasn't up to par before. You already know I would have given him a better hustle rating for his dives into the crowd this season. I think the 95 consistency kind of mimics microwave.

Celtics in the second half of game 1 had only 25 points, and only 8 in the 4th quarter. Melo was in there, he didn't look like a defensive liability to me.

thats because the celtics were flat in the entire half, and K-mart and kidd were great on defense.

melo is one dimensional. he is a flat out pure scorer, with avg rebounding and passing, and below to maybe avg defense...or, he just doesnt want to defend
