NCAA Football 14 News Post

EA Sports has posted NCAA Football 14 playbook #2 as they reveal some of the biggest upgrades to presentation.

Quote:
The ESPN Living Game Clock, which provides quick-hitting stats on previous plays, player stats, game stats, play selection and more, is just one more piece that heightens immersion and makes the game feel truer to an actual ESPN broadcast.

Looks like Road to Glory is in but unchanged if the menu shot is accurate.

Yes, there's no playbook on it this year. The focus seems to be on ultimate team.

The details of the changes to the commentary have me interested in hearing how it sounds in the final game. By all appearances a needed forward progression in that department.

guys, I dot want to jump the gun... But this game is looking incredible so far. Excited to get my hands on the demo whenever it releases. should be awesome!

EDIT:

What is this "There are also special storylines in store for the most dedicated Dynasty gamers. Some won’t become available until at least your 2nd year as a coach, while others take much more time to unlock."
Possible playoff hint? Seeing if players perform well in the post season or something.

The halftime sounds very generic. Not surprised though.

Well I like the main menu much more. More streamlined and less clunky. Should make the game feel different from the past few when you pop it in at the very least.

Will there be a video released for presentation today?

I think its time we throw away the notion that EA only views this as a stop gap game before the new consoles hit. I say it will not only be the best game we've had, but also the best we'll get for at least 3-5 years. (I hope I"m wrong about that though)

I loved hearing about the enhanced player chatter on every sports game I play I turn on-field audio up all the way and the announcers down to barely a whisper

And thank the heavens we see a dynasty tab and not a "cc" one

Neutral site games are in, finally! Hopefully the last part of preview will let them expand on stuff like equipment in the future.

Sounds cool, but it's EA, they make almost everything sound good. Disappointed that there was no mention of broadcast cameras added. Guess Madden 12 still remains untouched in this area.

Presentation yea right.....9 freaking years and still only 1 camera angle to use. How can you continually ignore one of the biggest aspects of the game, THE VIEW IN WHICH YOU WATCH AND PLAY!!! Sorry but they've failed yet again in my opinion

Looks good on paper. Really hope they release a video.

I wonder if Brad and Kirk will discuss recruiting during games in dynasty. It would be neat if they mentioned how your class finished last year, and how you're doing during your current season. Maybe highlight the ESPN 300 guys. ESPN has really started emphasizing recruiting during telecasts the past two years.

Overall, I think the NCAA team is trying to lay a solid foundation for next gen, but by doing so, should give us a better game than usual for this current generation.

Seems like they at least tried to make the presentation better - I like the added emphasis on stats overlays and making the menus faster. I'd like to see some video evidence of everything they discussed. Also hoping that Zombie Nation and Seven Nation Army are not overdone and end up getting annoying.

look at the last pic (bama vs a&m)

bama's cb has a white star and circle around him.

does this mean we have impact players again, or is that the read man help icon for options?

I'm guessing that's part of the new commentary and ties in with how Kirk ands Brad will talk about standout players.

Yeah if you care about presentation much at all, this sounds much more like what we've been wanting to see than in past years. Getting rid of the old menus and making everything more streamlined plus the new ESPN living clock keeping track of plays and stats are big improvements.
