If your looking for a job where you dont have to do any work than 2k sports is your company. Where you can release the same game for a whole console gen and make minor updates or change some things around like dribbling moves and call it a year.

Would be nice is someone like Mark Cuban started making sport games. Someone with a passion and money that would be in it to make the best sports game ever made than to just try to make a buck. Just saying someone with alot of money that has a passion for sport video games like Cuban has for his Mavs.

Its time for someone to step up and put these clowns at 2k sports and EA out of business. Sports gamers deserve better then this.

Theres people out there that would spend 60hrs a week perfecting rosters and you could get a group of them together and they probably would do it for free.
It's so weird ... they can pick ANYBODY from this site to do the updates and we ALL would do a better job.

I would be on stat sites making sure every athlete playing big minutes in the game is playing like their real life counterparts. I would also make sure all the gear and equipment is spot on.

I don't think some of you realize how a development lifecycle works. After they released NBA2K13 they started working on NBA2K14, then some of the developers end up in support roles to fix critical issues that come up after release. I cannot emphasis the word critical enough.

I know some of you think a 2 point bump in player rating is critical, but from a business standpoint it is near the bottom of the list of priorities. Anything related to 2K13 at this point is going to be pushed behind whatever is going on with 2K14.

I can't speak on that, I'm not the scrum master for the development/support efforts. If they are still there though, likely it isn't a top priority like I said.... 2K14 is #1 priority right now.

I wish this game was treated like it was even on their top ten list of priorities.

For a game this popular and one they are still actively promoting it deserves first class support.

How can game breaking glitches and freeze bugs not be a top priority? The game hasn't even been out for half a year! I say through 2k14 in the trash, patch this game for another year because we all know it will take at least a full year of patching to get this game to where it should have been on release, and then come back strong out of the gate with 2k15. Here's hoping...

B.S. The developers work on hard on this game every year.

The only thing that a monopoly allows a company to do is experiment with new gameplay ideas without the fear of losing their market share. IMHO, if NBA Live was still around, I truly believe that 2K Sports would have continued to build off the NBA 2K11 engine instead of experimenting with all this stupid live ball physics and stick control. Of course, comparing NBA 2K12 and NBA 2K13 to NBA 2K11, I would have been perfectly fine with them deciding to build off NBA 2K11. However, if they learn how to combine the pros of NBA 2K11-NBA 2K13 before the next generation of consoles, then it WOULDN'T matter if there's competition, because the competition will have too much to catch up too.
We'll just hafta agree to disagree on that one, man. Competition is what makes the business world go 'round. Hell, it makes all of us as PEOPLE strive to be better in whatever we do. I'm sticking to my opinion on this, but everyone is certainly entitled to form their own.

Because the game in it's entirety works, or at least that's how they see it. Probably not enough users are experiencing these same issues for it to be moved up in priority. Not sure if they do things similar to what we do, but where I work we always move forward and anything bug related is thrown into a backlog which gets worked whenever there is time to work on those issues.

Of course if it is an major issue such as, let's say when you go to play a quick game and the whole game crashes every single time you try it, then that gets worked immediately. It really comes down to how many users it is effecting and if it's worth putting the resources in to work on those issues versus putting those efforts towards the newer release of the game. I'm not even counting the time it takes to review the fixed code and testing it before it gets pushed out either.

Roster updates don't need to be the #1 priority or anywhere close to set aside a guy or two to put out a decent update. The poor quality of updates is ridiculous given the type of game this is. How difficult is it to update like 15+ players a week and update equipment once a month or so? The guy updates two players, changes some line-ups here or there and then calls it a day. That's absurd. How are all the line-ups not correct yet? How are there rotational players not in the game yet? How does Westbrook still have 92 close and 88 mid range shooting ratings?

Then they need to stop directing us to the 2K Insider like he's a "feature" of the NBA 2K13, and pay someone from this site to get the rosters right.

You think giving a player a +2 bump is a lot of work? Tell someone to do this during his lunch break, it ain't that hard.

Seriously. I wonder what they are developing. I know it has to be difficult but there is a base they start from. They don't have to invent the wheel again. They just have to improve the current gameplay make it better/more realistic. 2K13 is actually good compared to 2K12.

If 2K doesn't have 1 guy who can do weekly updates, how understaffed are they?
Sport games need to get regular player updates. That's how it is, how other companies do it and how it's supposed to be. Some people on this forum say that 2K just have to deliver the game and pull their hands off but EA sports doesn't do that.

I don't believe the fact that 2K has no money (to hire 1 extra person), they have more than enough

Solution: they should develop a system which gives us the power (like uploading sliders) to update players. I'm pretty sure, a couple of guys here on OS, wouldn't mind doing this and keeping busy with this. Form a team of 10 reliable guys who watch games, discuss player ratings, we do a better job than 2K would do.

2k share not working on 2k13? As for general player updates on large scale. guys here at OS shouldnt be in charge of updating the game for the 1 mill people that own it
