This year, they are revamping franchise mode, which I think counts as an off-line mode.
I can't wait to hear about the additions to franchise mode b/c franchise mode comprises 85% of my show experience. Although I want to try a position player for Road to the Show this year as opposed to always doing a pitcher.
I am still holding out for a lot more player history in the player cards (stats, teams played for, awards won, etc.).
Does anyone know if player history was improved this year? I play franchise mode and it sucks when your trying to read up on a player and you cant even see the teams he has played for in the past. Especially when you get into computer generated guys..... who drafted him? what teams has he played on? has he been in the W.S? I would love for a players card to carry a lot more history for the player then just his numbers. That would make franchise mode more interesting.... Anyone know about this? or where would be the best site to voice my opinion. Am I alone on player history?
I absolutly agree with this statement!!! This has been my biggest gripe about The Show since 2008. Why have the player cards not been overhauled almost 5 years? A player resume would add a completly new element to the Franchise experience. They could make each item on a players resume carry XP that would enhance the overall performance of whatever team he's playing for. This could add value to older players who's skill atributes have dropped.
And PLEASE start tracking more career stats. The more, stats the better. Why does Sony keep neglecting us Franchise gamers of our career stats? All true baseball fans are stat rats deep down. I'm tired of looking for leadoff hitters based on their speed atributes. I want to see their OBP, runs scored, and stolen base totals through the years. It's more fun that way IMO.

Its been mentioned quite a few times by various people around here, but the lack of stat tracking (and various other things as well) is due to the lack of memory the PS3 has. Do you really think SCEA gets some kind of satisfaction out of holding back features that benefit the game? If they had the ability to include it then it would already be in. The good news is next gen is right around the corner, that's where all of the stuff most people are clamoring for will make an appearance...
Could you explain a little bit more about what is wrong with it and how it should be please?
I think it's the way they slowly shuffle their feet to make contact with the bases as they round them. You'll see that once in a blue moon in real life, but it happens around every base in this game.
It's a bit more disguised in 12 with the cuts to other things around the ballpark (one of my wishes from last year, which is awesome).
lol, I have kind of found the complaining about the shades of color somewhat picky. And, quick question for all you guys, how do you use the emoticons on here? I can't find them to save my life! I joined just a month ago, so still figuring things out, haha.
To be fair if your going to have a baseball game based on the MLB then the Teams colors should be right. Go look up the actual Jays jerseys they're not navy blue. It was fine last year it was the first year the Jays had them but now it's the second games not out yey so it could be fixed but when you have Joey Bats in studio with the real Jays unifrom it's kind of hard to believe they still haven't fixed it.
It's easy for other fans of other teams becuase no other teams color is even close to being as wrong as the Blue jays. This game is gorgeous but the Rogers Centre turf has never looked nice in the show and this continues in 2013. In real life that ugly turf isn't that dark of a green. The show makes an already eye sore(Rogers Centre) an even bigger one.

Oh boo hoo, lol. No, I am a Pirates fan and if the Gold were wrong or that mustard gold/yellow on throwbacks and now there alternates was wrong, I probably wouldn't be happy either. But, there is still a few weeks before they can't make any changes, and Russell is clearly involved in these forums, so maybe they will change it.
I have a question for you guys, who is your favorite player in real life that you wish had a higher rating in the game than last year?
Well, I say McCutchen, but he also raised his average about 80 points and hit 8 more HR from 2011, so can't be to upset, haha. But anywho, I just edit them so they are realilistic by my standards too. Like A.J. Burnett and James McDonald both throw a nasty Knuckle-Curve, but the game gives them a regular Curve ball, so I change that. And Pedro Alvarez has a pretty strong, above average arm, and they just gave him an average arm rating, so I raised the arm strength. But I lower ratings on players too if I think they are over-rated, but the show rarely over-rates players. I'll go team by team changing ratings.
And can Miggy's pants be down lol, He almost never wears high socks anymore, just a couple requests for you Russel!
Lol...when I read the first part about Miggy's pants being down, I was like "whuuuuuuuuuuuutttttt?" haha
You do realize you can edit it within the game to whether he has high socks or whatever, right? I would definitely make his pants "baggy". But I dont care what kinda pants/socks, etc you put that man in...he can rake in real life and on the game for sure. I know all too well...I'm an Indians fan.
