EXCLUSIVE! Here’s a quick look at Throwbacks Uniforms featured in this year’s game.

MLB The Show has always featured a selection of uniforms for our fans to play in, from current uniforms to alternate uniforms to throwback uniforms, and this year we added new designs into the mix. Each team will have 2 throwback uniform options, with OVER 30 new to MLB 13 The Show. Now enjoy some uniforms that date back to the early 1900’s, or uniforms that were used before a team relocated. Whatever teams you are a fan of, we have uniforms that represent your team through the years.

Atlanta Braves using their 1972 uniforms vs the Philadelphia Phillies using their 1926 unforms:

Toronto BlueJays using their 1977 uniforms vs. Boston RedSox using their 1908 uniforms:

Cincinnati using their 1934 uniforms vs. Washington Nationals using their 1969 ‘Senators’ uniforms:

Spring training is only a few weeks away and Baseball is Back! Until then, I hope you enjoyed the screenshots of Throwback Uniforms featured in MLB 13 The Show.

Unfortunately that's all they had time for this year. They only have one department and they decided to do the throwbacks as the big improvement.

How about the late '70's red Red Sox hats? Long overdue. Someone mentioned the option of making the graphics look like old film, didn't the NBA game do that a couple years ago? Either way that would be awesome. Also I widh they would put in the Reds mid '90's, the sleevelss jerseys with the white hats for home ( wish they had Riverfront Stadium) and like a khaki uni with red hats for the road. And yes they need to take Mr Red off the throwback helmets. And I agree they should take out the batting practice etc and use the slots for throwbacks. Also last year for the Pirates they had the great three ring Pirates hats but they didn't have the cool color combos that matched the hats, that would be cool if they got that corrected.

Yeah. They've had things on the bases before, but I don't believe they've had that large of a team name before. I don't play in Boston.

Judging from the 74 Braves throwback the socks are completely wrong. Hopefully that shot is a mix 'n' match with the old school Braves socks from another uniform because Hank Aaron never wore those style socks in the ATL.

Also, lets hope SCEA added the 1984 Cubs home/away or the 1978 home/away.

1933 Boston Braves, like I said earlier. Nothing comes close.

Is this game still using 2xMSAA?

Maybe we'll see uniform this in the game!

I used to dislike these uniforms so much, but then when I seen the Brewers wear them as part of the 40th Anniversary celebration against the Nationals, I thought they were gorgeous! I think the fact the Brewers were absolutely futile while wearing these uniforms has a lot to do with the massive dislike among the fanbase.

MAAAAN! This makes me want a "Turn the clock forward" uniform pack.

I know they were pretty ugly, but for comedy sake, and laughing at the 90's idea of the future, these would be fun.

I am upset they are adding MORE uniforms, but baserunners still have no batting gloves.....

The Show is usually pretty good with fixing something before moving on to something else, but this has been ignored in ALL PS3 versions (not sure if the PS2 ones had same issue, didnt play them)

Please add the mid to late 90s blue and gold Astros uniforms!

That's because 99% of baserunners don't wear their batting gloves when running. At most, they hold them.

99%?...thats the number you chose to go with?

And I would say the number is more towards 50/50 then you think. I would say more like 99% of batters DO wear batting gloves when batting, yet they still have option to take them off. If that were reason enough they could just make it so you HAVE to wear batting gloves.....

Thats not the reason why they do not do it, and I am not bashing them for not doing it, just disappointed it has been overlooked for so many iterations of this game, which is head and shoulders above anything I've played in a long time.

1994-1997 Milwaukee Brewers Home/Away/Alternate would be nice as would the 1994-1999 Houston Astros Home/Away/Alternate set. Also the 1975 Indians Home/Away/Alternate featuring the red jersey on red pants.

1993-1996 California Angels (Angels in the Outfield)

1994-1997 Milwaukee Brewers

1994-1999 Houston Astros

1993-1998 Cincinnati Reds

1978 Chicago Cubs

1975 Cleveland Indians

I wonder if the light-blue Brooklyn Dodgers unis (including helmets) will be available...

I enjoy playing with throwback jerseys because to me it makes the 3 or 4 games series easier to play. The 1972 Braves jersey looks Awesome

# 60 405Cowboy @ 01/07/13 12:01 PM
Please SCEA fix the 1972 Braves throwback, its' WRONG!
