MLB 13 The Show Cover Decided By Fans, Releases on March 5th 2013, Playoff Mode Added

MLB 13 The Show is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 5, 2013 for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, just in time for Spring training. For the first time, fans will decide who is on the cover of the game, as the cover campaign rolls out in January. Candidates will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Very happy to hear Playoff Mode will be in.

Beginner Mode sounds perfect for those that have struggled with the game, or are making the transition from 2K.

Well I did notice from the Kemp screenshot that the LED banners around the stadium aren't in-game authentic, they just have the same old team logo or phrase on them. They are early screenshots though so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Pretty excited and pumped up for the game. I just can't wait to find out about the revamped Road To The Show and franchise mode since those are the ones that I play the most. Still no World Baseball Classic though...

Truthfully, once I take the Show out of the case I don't see it till the following year.

It was Adrian Gonzalez mostly but some had different versions of cover athletes like Jose Bautista in Canada.

Season export/import from year to year

Other options would be nice, but these are tops on my list.

Only if it was March already! I am thinking that "King" Felix Hernandez should be on the cover! Too bad he's in the pacific northwest and doesn't get any respect!

Don't expect real LED banners around the stadiums until PS4 version of the game.

The good news is from what I have been told Sony does indeed plan on adding the real LED banners for all the stadiums in the future and its something they would really like to do for sure

You know what would be a great bonus? Getting OSFM on release day lol...

Oh! And non-roster invitees to spring training, not that it's remotely possible but it's almost Show13time. I'm allowed to dream!

Believe me i understand every argument for all the players being pitched. We all have our favorites for the cover, but why is not Machado, Chapman, David Friese, or any of those style of players getting any love. yes we all want the biggest shiniest names on the cover but why not a deserving second tier kinda guy.

There are plenty of cover worthy guys out there, again not trying to put anyones choice down but i can see more possibilities for the cover than just the top award winners and rookies of the year... They are all great choices and would make awesome cover athletes no doubt, but i can see more possibilities, nore cost effective for SCEA than those...

Did i omit him??? that is my bad... i must have forgotten about him off the cubs..if anyone on that roster deserves to be on the cover... it is him... for sure..

After reading that list 3 times I actually managed to realize Casper Wells is there and Mike Trout isn't and I think there's a slight problem there

The list is too show other players that are deserving of the honor of cover guy for the game OTHER than the top six obvious choices that everyone is nameing and Trout of course is one of those...That is why harper, Strasburg, Cabrera and all the others that have already been mentioned arent on there as well.

I don't think Stras is an obvious choice.

Team Posey! Although Trout would be awesome. Either way EE would be nice on the Canadian cover.
