NBA 2K13 News Post

According to Ronnie2K, the wrong NBA 2K13 roster file was uploaded to 2K Share late last night, the current file (everyone is complaining about) is an older version. They will post an updated version sometime tonight.

I've asked if that means tonight or early tomorrow morning, just awaiting confirmation.

Look, no offense fellas but all this "extra stuff" post release costs them money to work on and release so the less of it they do, the less money they have to spend on development of all this post release content.

The higher ups DO NOT want them working on this stuff because they've already made their money on units sold and whatever money they make through virtual currency is icing. All I'm saying is YOU ARE NOT OWED ANY OF THIS POST RELEASE CONTENT. You paid $60 for the game you bought in august THAT'S. IT. Whatever you get from here on out is a LUXURY. So be happy your getting this pathetic crap for free or just trade the game in. I'm not trying to piss anyone off, I'm just stating what I think the reality of this situation is and what it ALWAYS will be.

Tonight means today at night and tomorrow means tomorrow.

Haha...I think they posted the one they wanted to but now they are seeing all of the backlash they said "oh s**t" and are scrambling to make changes...

Some of you really need to grow up, 2k admitted it was a mistake damage control or not, they updated the courts, and teams like the Bulls and the Celtics are updated, as for Sheed has he even played a game yet ?

Who cares if anyone's 'buying it' or not....another update is being uploaded, that's all that matters....I'm not going to not download it because I didn't buy they made a mistake, lol

If people feel they 'lit a fire' that's great... but all this fire lighting has fallen on deaf ears for a long time....I'd be surprised if they just decided to listen all the sudden...

I'm not buying it.

I think we lit a fire under their *** and they are desperately throwing together another patch by the end of the night. You'll be able to tell that they're bull****ting when they're missing players like De Colo, Machado, and Greg Smith.

You posted this Before I could. Rasheed, Shved, Teletovic WOULD have been in the "OLD" Roster SINCE they HAD Harden in it. Either that or they are just Leaving them out. Also find it INTERESTING, IF it was an OLD Update then it means they must be Updating the Roster quite often because Harden was in "OLD" Update. And IF they UPLOADED the WRONG UPDATE, why not just go ahead and UPLOAD the right one NOW, instead of delaying it. LOL.

Actually, that's not true with sports games. On the back, they always say there will be roster updates because it is required by the NBA to have accurate rosters for the year.

Still no Sacre and Darius Johnson-Odom on the Lakers.

Still no Dequan Jones on the Magic.

All teams had to get to 15 and there are 15 available spots on each team in 2k so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Add these guys please.

I'm just glad I have other games to play like assassins creed III and wwe 13 when 2k does things like this. I want them to wow us so they can shut us up but their track record is very consistent in disappointing us. I really want them to put up a sick roster tonight.

# 32 bpersonke @ 10/30/12 02:04 PM
I am new to this game but can someone tell me why after the update Derrick Rose is no longer available to even play when playing online?? I could understand having to sub him in because he is hurt but hes not even on the roster! can anyone explain???

# 33 SavoyPrime @ 10/30/12 02:06 PM
Frankly, I don't think it was a mistake at all. I think 2K wasn't expecting the riot that was caused with what has become their typical BS when it comes to their roster "updates" when they dropped that crap this morning. They need to get it together or fire the 2K Insider. Dude is horrible on the real.

So are the employees working on 2k not getting yearly salaries? I can see your point, but don't find it wholly realistic. Dev cycle for 14 has been started already and I am sure there is a board up somewhere with ideas for 15, lets be real. Now patches after the first two do cost money (iirc), but those help not hurt as they are fixes that should make it into 14.

Now we don't know if the 2k insider who is supposed to do roster updates is a person or a group of people or what. But irregardless the job (2k insider) isn't all that hard, imo.

# 35 cbjr @ 10/30/12 02:08 PM
Then they shouldn't promise dynamic updates through the season. Just saying.

# 36 The 24th Letter @ 10/30/12 02:09 PM
So everyone's going to boycott the new update right? That'll teach em!!

# 37 Frizzz24 @ 10/30/12 02:09 PM
WOW 2k. OOPS...posted old file. Can't post new one until tonight....HAHAHA! Man, they are just adding insult to injury with that lame excuse/response. Honestly, can't 2k just be truthful? Just say...

"We apologize for not properly updating the roster and rushing out another garbage roster, but we are going to work dilligently today and have a new, amended roster posted tonight. Thanks for your comments/feedback."

People would respect and understand that over the ridiculous statement they released.

# 38 eF 5ive @ 10/30/12 02:11 PM
2k orignal rosters had dwight in LA but other people involved with that trade weren't moved. I don't get why you guys even have expectations when it comes to 2k rosters. i honestly just think at this point it's a case of complacency. i wouldn't mind seeing some people moved around from inside 2k because obviously the job is piss poor at this point.

# 39 marcokb24 @ 10/30/12 02:12 PM
Is it possible to import teams from season/association like it was last year? This way I don't have to delete my roster file...and still have the new players added by 2k...

Them keeping things up to date is part of the reason they make new games every year and why we buy it. Otherwise they would not have the same sales they do.

Your argument is bad. Especially in the era of technology and the internet where part of the game IS the internet. That's like saying they aren't obligated to give us online gameplay since it's powered by THEIR servers and money.

"Be gone, 2k white knight."
After I said that we should be happy we're getting this pathetic crap for free.....*sigh* And they can't stick with prior release. Which they would'nt because there is no money in it. And also they're under contract to release an annual game. And they never state on the back of the box how often these rosters will update or how thorough they'll be. So like I said your not OWED anything. You already have what you paid for.
