NBA 2K13 Association and Online Association Details

2K Sports has just released some NBA 2K13 Association and Online Association details.

Would love for them to go into more detail about the "Bug Fixes" though.

Offline Association:

New NBA.com interface (the landing screen for the mode), information such as league leaders, injuries, standings are VERY accessible now.
Total Sim Control
New CBA rules
�Start Today� feature
All-Star Weekend integration (if All-Star DLC is installed)
Revamped Team Building logic
All-new lineup/rotation logic
Improved trading logic
Other smaller fixes (improved draft generation, etc.)
Bug fixes! (based on community feedback from last year)

Association Online:

Commissioner Tools:

Customizable Sliders
Adjust League Speed
Advance League (1 week at a time)
Advance to Next Round (in the playoffs)
Pause/Resume League
Unlock All Games (flex schedule)
Reset Games / Force Winner

LD2K said in the other thread that they had to get approvals to release it that's what I was referring too.

But least we have it direct from 2k that they attempted to improve these things specifically the bugs

Also did anyone notice that in the thread from the guy who got to play it early he said Association looked the same yet 2k says the NBA.com come screen has been revamped? So I'm guessing it looks simliar just more clickables on the homepage?

They needed to clean up stuff before adding more stuff to it. I hope they were successful in fixing those issues we've been pointing out.

I'll hold off on buying it since they can't even elaborate on what bugs they addressed.

When I find out that the cold spot bugs are gone I may purchase it.

Uh, Yeah.

Why support a company that doesn't listen to it's consumers. Haven't bought a Madden game for quite some time and I don't plan on buying one now (Connected Careers foolishness). Why throw my money away buying a broken game? You might be content but don't discount some of our valid concerns. I don't think asking for a stable association mode is unreasonable.

THIS is what they kept tweeting they needed a final approval for? LMAO.

I didn't expect much from them when I saw that Assoc/OA is the LAST thing they talk about before the game comes out. Happens every year, you know the saying "save the best for last?" Well 2K does the opposite. Their "Association details" is basically what we expected to see anyway. SMH.

That would be so awesome... has NBA 2K ever had this as an option? I know Live almost always did, and MLB 2K currently does as well...

I was hoping that this insight would take me off the fence and make me want to pre-order ASAP....
It didn't, well unless Total Sim control means that we can intervene during games, does it? If not, I guess that I'll wait on impressions to see if these "bug and logic fixes" do what they are supposed to do.

Whats your motivation in trying to call people out in this topic?? But in truth if 2K provided no info about Association and improved nothing in the main mode I would have heavily weighed skipping 2k13 and when 2k14 came around it would feel like a 2 yr jump to me considering Association is my main mode.

I've skipped madden in the past over them not improving franchise and I would have skipped this yrs edition had my brother not purchased the game. People always talk about voting with your wallet yet you need the information to make an informed decision about your purchase and I personally feel 2k has illustrated albeit in vague detail what they tried to improve.

Now if you consider teams recording 124 wins a season and contracts reverting to zero in the second yr or draft class import freezing in yr 6 or teams not making trades after yr 3 and other glitches "lame issues" for some who mainly plays that mode then I can't help you dude.

2k upgraded my only 2 issues. Trade logic and player management, i need to see nothing else.

Hopefully they tweaked potential so theres not a 100 rated 99 players after a few years.

Getting traded draft picks assigned to the correct teams would be good. Lakers, heat, Brooklyn, etc should not have their first round picks. Rockets, suns, magic, etc. should have picks stacked up. Fix the trade proposal so that you can't edit it and steal first round picks. If harden is coming off the bench but still getting his minutes, cpu has to stop starting him.

They might as well have said: "Association details, we're going to offer stuff like we did in the past."
Not much there. Are they going to let us use legends in this version like they did in 2011 or are they going to keep like they did in NBA 2k12 for no apparent reason other than to irritate a lot of us. Can we edit ages again? 2K loves to make meaningless anouncements.
