LD2K if you're still around, can you also play the demo 1v1 on the same console?

Was hoping for tomorrow, but I have games that I've never finish to hold me over, I was going to get the game early, but I'll just wait since the demo is a week from the release date. Just happy to have a date, also looking forward to the LD2k vs Ronnie2k live stream, I got my money on LD2k.

Last year it was 4 or 5 minutes. Doesn't really matter to me as you can play the demo as many times as you want.
2K's demos have always been very barebone. Except for the Draft Combine one.

I'd be surprised if online enabled means what everyone her is thinking it means.

I'd love to hear what else you possibly think that "online enabled" could mean.

The Draft Combine wasn't a demo. It was a pregame DLC.

I like the thought of "online enabled." Sounds like we'll be able to play against friends online, meaning we'll be able to choose whether to be either the Heat or the Thunder. Extremely excited for next Tuesday now (FIFA 13 releases).

I'd be surprised if the demo was online player VS player. 2K demos are always as bare bones as they can be... especially with 2K hoops. I'm thinking online enabled means it might allow for uploading highlights to the 2K site or something like that.

LD2K confirmed it was 1v1 online play.

What's the point of playing onine for one quarter?

I saw some comment saying the took the "online enabled" as meaning they are confident in their servers. I hope you are right , because from my point of view , I see it at as , I hope we are ready , lets test the servers out in the demo.

I feel like we recieved a whole lot more info for prior titles. We certainly got more videos at this point of time in the past. Hopefully game reviews and vids will be swarming in like a tornado this week.
Side note...excited about the demo :-)

Stress testing the servers? Maybe to get an idea on how much load they can take....who knows...

When iLLosophy asks this this way it's pretty obvious he means online play so when LD2K answer 'Yes you are' I take it he confirms we will be able to play the demo online.

You never know though, maybe you're right.

We all knew it was gonna be OKC vs. Miami, so no surprise there. (hopefully we can at least choose sides)

As far as it getting released a week before launch, i personally prefer it that way. Having to play one quarter with the same team(s) for 2 weeks would get old fast.

P.S. 2k, if you're only gonna give us 1 quarter, please at least make it 8-10 minutes (who am i kidding, we all know it'll be 5 mins)

I hate how 2K has done their demos these last few years. I understand they're just demos, the game comes out in a few weeks, everyone is already buying, etc, etc, but I'm guessing this is going to be just like the 2K11 and 2K12 demos where we were stuck with one team, no playbooks, and only having like a 2 minute quarter or something to play.

According to Ronnie's last tweet, online enabled means "we can do quick games"...

...and now I am thoroughly confused. Glad I didn't just run with the "we can invite friends" thing people kept saying, no wonder I couldn't get an answer from LD.

You won't be able to play against your friends, only random opponents. Obvious that they want to stress test their servers.
That's ok with me.

I wish we can choose different teams, for quick games. Maybe the conference losers, spurs and Celtics, pretty good second options imo. But i know the choices will be the heat and the thunder.
