Totally agree. But how do you fairly penalize it?

That really is wonderful news. I always wondered what could have possibly possessed 2K to switch to the system they implemented in 2K12.

someone stated that they noticed in one of the videos that over dribbling drains stamina, so maybe thats how they countered, guy will burn out more quickly!

Overdribbling in 2k12 drains stamina and i think stamina is a bigger factor this year so they'll probably lose all the juice

I'm more concerned on how easy it is to spin dribble to the basket...hopefully in higher difficulties there would be more contact initiated.

And as for you not liking the game, I didn't say that either. I was just covering the bases of my last statement just in case. Read it again.

All I'm saying is that these videos are put out to enjoy and to evaluate. This is obvious. But it gets to a point where "evaluate" to some becomes only "critiquing". And that's a buzz kill frankly.

What you said about rebounding is important. We've seen a LOT of videos so far. Have we really seen the old vertical issue that often? I don't think so. Does that mean its gone for good. I doubt it. But the issue seems to have been addressed noticeably and that's a good thing, right?

And I agree about the irrational hate of 2k12. That game was a victim of expectations.
I disagree with you on multiple points;
First of all, he can decide for himself if he can watch videos and doesn't need your advice. Second of all, he can critique the game all he want, if YOU get a buzzkill from that, then don't read it. Just because you don't like people not being positive about a game, doesn't mean everyone has to adjust so that you feel well. Third, yes we haven't seen this kind of rebounding a lot, but a lot of the videos we saw were distributed by 2K (not all, I know, Gamescom) so they will make sure (and I don't blame them) to make the game look as fine as they can in those videos. So when you see in a video like this, which is made to promote the game, and you notice an issue from last year that certainly means something. It's as if you watch a movie trailer and see a camera through a mirror, what must that mean for the real movie?

Finally, I myself am very psyched for this game, I like the gameplay and gamemode improvements so far, and overall I'm very positive and think this can be a better game than NBA 2K11 (to me, the best NBA 2K game so far). But that doesn't mean people can't critique certain issues that were there in previous installments of the game.

Yeah cause having someone just dribble like that from the 3pt line spin move there way in the paint for a layup or dunk will be total GARBAGE if their is no punishment...

Ewww!!! That would suck man. Or am I assuming too much when you say "lose the ability" to do moves?

I don't know if anybody else mentioned this. But i like it that they have Spanish commentary now. I just hope that you can seemingly switch between English and Spanish, it would somewhat give association more depth (Spanish commentary for teams with a lot of Latin followers)

There is no way in the world Russel Westbrook should have ankle breaker. Please get someone to give people appropriate skills at least 2k.

The combination of Rudy Gay taking the defender off the dribble and going right THROUGH him for an easy layup plus the combination of Perkins 40 inch vertical rebound makes me cringe. Hopefully sliders can fix that.

Did I intimidate him or you or something? Where did I say he can't watch videos? Don't take it too far. All I said was that if you get to a point where all you look for is problems in a video, maybe you should take a step back if you don't want to kill your own excitement.

Statements like this make NO sense at all!!! How the hell do you know if what you're ABOUT to read is something you may not want to read BEFORE you read it? But if you insist - it goes both ways.

How do you know what I like and what I don't like? Again - where do I hold a gun to anyone's head to do anything to appease me?

And this implies that what he critique should be discounted. Again - where do I say this? Someone saw a rebound they didn't like. He attached the vertical issue to it. I said that vertical wasn't the issue. Reread the post. I didn't say "Oh, it looks fine! What are you talking about?!".

Critique away! No one is stopping you. Just don't let it get in the way of any visible improvements. Don't let it be the primary motivation for actually watching the video. This is for the sake of your OWN enjoyment.

???

It has Spanish commentary? If it does, it has to be just for the Spanish market.

Well, yeah. I'm not sure if you watched the video or skimmed through it, but it does show some of the Spanish commentary being recorded. I'm sure you're right though, I would imagine that it's more than likely that it will only be shipped with the Spanish version of the game.

Nice video Sean! Really looking forward to play this game with Spanish commentary

I don't have a problem with ankle breaker for him. Didn't he drop Calderon or somebody last year? I DO however have a problem with acrobat for him. Whenever Russ drives to the cup, he just throws up something hoping to get the foul call. He isn't a better finisher around the rim than Derrick Rose who has the acrobat skill (but not finisher). Russ is more likely to dunk on you, so I'm guessing that's why he got finisher. Personally, I would've given him posterizer instead of acrobat AND finisher and called it a day.

Westbrook breaks Ridnour's ankles
Shakes D-Wade (albeit in the all-star game)
Quick crossover into explosion at the basket vs Croatia

I have no problem with it, personally.

Loving all the info in the "pause" screen!! Stats and skills and lineups all in one place! And that substitutions look easy and quick.

Sure hope the difficulty was at its easiest in that video, though. The CPU defense was a joke. Guessing it was, though.

I actually really, really like what I'm seeing from this game. Smooth, crisp, fluid. Game's all pre-ordered and I'm psyched.

However. However!!!!!

For the love of basketball...when - WHEN! - will they fix the frickin' layups/dunks? Specifically - watch the play that happens at about the 5:10 mark.

Kevin Durant, open, wide open, on the way to the basket. What does he do? Reverse lay up from about 3 feet away from the basket. DUNK THE BASKETBALL! The ball is actually swatted by a defender and it's called a goaltend. What the hell man? Fix this nonsense already. Seriously. Fix it. Fix it fix it fix it.
