Aside from all the Live bashing, I saw some positives...
Pros:
-Lighting looks pretty amazing.
-Crowd atmosphere looks great.
-Some faces they nailed, others look pretty bad.
-Looks like Live 13 has got accessories pretty down
Cons:
-Some player models look terrible (too buff...arms look too short)
-Looks like the rim animation doesn't move at all...and the dunking sounds sound like two trash can lids banging together ... Live 04' (great game by the way)
-Gameplay still looks like Elite 11'...
Overall looks like a def. no buy, just because it looks like Elite with better graphics. But will def look at the demo and hopefully prove me wrong...
I'm by no means a "2k fanboy" or "Live fanboy" just loving the NBA and really hoping for something good out of EA... It was such a blessing to have 2 NBA games back in 04-06...

Graphics look pretty good....except Chris Paul spent too much time working on his arms lol And there are some oddities with player body parts. I like the faces and the jerseys.
The sweat looks pretty cool, but other than that I like 2k's graphics better, as well as gameplay, as well as everything else. I still may get this though. Not first day, but I'll wait and see what the media and others say about it.

And after looking at the screens some more I kind of like the tight jersey look. Even though they may be a little too tight. At first i thought they weren't separate from the body until seeing the screens. I just wish the shorts would animate more like 2K and less like Sony's game.
But it's just too bad that the gameplay doesn't match the efforts that were done in the graphics department.

I love 2k but these character models look better.I wish 2k didn't look so cartoonish. If we had live character model's and 2k's gameplay life would be great.

Doesn't matter if the graphics look great or not (I find them mediocre at best). It's about how the game looks when the player models move and when you look at the gameplay itself. From what I've seen this far, it's the same kind of quirky, robotic and lifeless animations that we've seen in the past years from EA. Therefore I find it rather useless to talk about graphics when the game itself looks like as if it's not even half-done...

They look like they photo-shopped the players' heads on generic body models....Jameer Nelson, for example.

PROS: Something about the colors and lighting look really great..the overall atmosphere stands out and gives it that feel of a real NBA game. I don't think EA has ever had an issues with the look of the crowd and that feeling of watching a game from home.
CONS: The animations look a bit stiff, but that can be said about any game...I'm not crazy about the sweaty gloss look but would at least like to try out a demo of the game. I don't understand why they decided to use Elite 11 instead of NBA live 10 engine. It makes little sense to me since live 10 was a pretty decent game but nowhere near perfect. If they could have released a beta for the fans a few months back, maybe around E3, I think this could have been a better game overall. I guess we'll have to wait and see, indefinitely.
Unfortunately, people think betas are the same thing as demos. Instead of EA receiving constructive criticism they would get comments such as "EA your game sucks. SMH."
I'm not going to argue about the graphics since we can't even mention the competition and compare them side by side. I really don't care about graphics since I just want the gameplay to be top notch. Extra modes, teams, shoes, accessories mean absolutely nothing if the game plays like crap.
