Madden NFL 13 News Post

Could we see Madden NFL 13 CCM roster editing in the near future? According to Ripten, Josh Looman and the Madden team have a "shocking" announcement coming sometime tonight or tomorrow.

If it's not CCM roster editing, what else could it be?

Quote:
While he wouldn’t be specific in terms of what the suprise announcement was, he stated that the Connected Careers team has been working very hard and has a “shock” worthy reveal up their sleave that they plan to announce either tonight or tomorrow. And this isn’t something we’ll have to wait months to get our hands on either. Josh quickly added that they hope to have it in the game within a weeks time from the announcement.

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that whatever they are working on is much more than a mere roster update. Josh stated that he initially wasn’t sure if this would be something they would be able to get done in time, but thanks to the dilligent effort of he and his team, it became clear that the feature was on track to becoming possible sooner rather than later.

Back to playing my broken CCM I guess. Either that or back to NHL13.

Good for the fantasy guys... but... jeez... give us something more than probably 5% of the community actually wants.
It's more than 5% of the community. It's the number one requested item on the game changer site by around 400 votes. I'm not a fantasy draft guy either, but I'm not going to knock EA for getting something in the game that a lot of people wanted.

Also, them adding fantasy draft for online tomorrow doesn't mean it won't be added for offline nor does it mean editing is off the table or that other fixes won't get made. People want a lot of stuff fixed, and for the next patch to be worth a damn, it'll have to address quite a few things. No company announces everything they are going to add/fix in a patch before it's about ready to go.

I'm also not saying EA will get any of what you or I want in either. My only point is that one doesn't necessarily preclude the other.

Don't get me wrong..i know alot of people want the player editing. BUT...fix the broken stuff FIRST. Stuff that needs to be addressed. Then go into the stuff that we WANT. Like offline stuff and the player editing.

I'm and offline old time sports gamer, they are ruining sports gaming with all the online crap.. I'm an offline gamer and all this online stuff should just be a thrown in not make it all the game.. Sorry I'm old school and offline gaming should come first, crap not everyone in the world has internet either, sad but true... I say boo to all the online crap, EA is doing something different and I guess I give them a little credit, but the offline gamer has been the one supporting there product for many years, keep is happy.. Just sad move in what there making main stream now.. Boo!

I get home from work today and see that a big announcement coming from Madden. Awesome!.........

Fantasy Draft? Really? I guess that is what I get for getting my hopes up for imported draft or at least editing to change names the made-up rookies to players from NCAA.

I'll have to go back to my original idea of creating own league (created teams, AFL style, of players graduating in NCAA 13, although I have to do it in Madden 12. Compiling stats game-by-game, they way used to do it so long ago.

I hate the idea of after NCAA, those players just fall off the face of the earth, while having to play Madden with made-up chumps.

Sucks, though I actually am liking Madden this year, despite it's flaws, which hopefully get worked on.

Not a big fantasy draft guy but GREAT JOB EA! If they can do this....they can do editing so I'm excited. Might start a fantasy draft ccm just to see the tweets.

Guys.......

You can play a SOLO online ccm. It's the same thing, in fact, it's better. Direct server side tuning updates, auto-saves. Don't let the opening week server issue scare you

But do you think editing in CCM will still be added?

# 212 DJROD @ 09/13/12 10:15 PM
Same. Im a 100% offline gamer. Ive had internet for years. Just not into the online thing. I buy games to start my Franchise and play til the next game comes out. Old Skool i guess.

I get that too, but the online madden community, is mostly made up of online gamers who would enjoy a feature like that. Those people make up most of the people who would go and vote, and start little "viral" online campains to get people to go and vote. Heck, I've seen it here in people's signatures to go and vote for the feature.

If you could survey every gamer that has madden, im sure the numbers wouldnt look the same. Its an online feature really. Thats it. So, great, its in for those that want it, thats awesome. However, why are they taking the time to get that in the game, when offline CCM is still filled with bugs, and completely untouched. That's what bothers me. Its all about online modes, and nothing about the game itself. It's concerning.

The announcement is fantasy draft??

Who gives a damn about fantasy draft? Isn't that what MUT is for?

So we have to play through seasons with players wearing duplicate numbers on the same team? Really?!?

Tried that, got disconnected in my first game I played. Played a game for nothing. When I'm limited in my time to play the game as it is because I have many other responsibilities, its just not a practical solution solution for me if I have to worry about that. Whether its a problem with EA's servers, or my internet connection. I own the game, it has an offline mode. Theres no reason I shouldnt be able to play the mode offline, and have the same benefits. If I'm a gamer, without internet, I'd have probably brought this back already. Maybe I'll try the online thing again, but... its just not practical to me.

That being said, its probably going to happen for me in the next few weeks. I enjoy the game. I can't sit here and wait, and not play it much longer. Plus I got two friends who are goign to be buying it in the next week or so, so I may try a CCM online with them to see how it goes. Just, really hesitant on it because of connection issues.

WOW. How can the big announcement be for something thats NON important? I mean...fix the sh** in the game before adding things thats not important...no??? The only thing positive about all this is....at least they ARE listening to people's complaints. The more people that complain about the same thing...it may get fixed.

But damn...Fantasy Draft.

This post is pretty indicative of the Madden community. "They're fixing _blank_? Who cares about _blank_, when everybody wants _some random thing that even fewer people care about_"
