While the team hasn't added the ability to edit players in CCM, they still haven't shot down the idea completely, in hopes to have it available in a future patch.

NBA Live is a sub par below average game.It has been and that is why it will be released for a lower price.

NBA Live was a game that did well and held its own mainly on the backs of casual NBA fans. When they pushed back the game it never came out, and it hadn't come back until this cheap download game will. I'm pointing out that from a PR and business standpoint, not releasing a game until it is perfect is an impossibility. Even GT5 (That was pushed back 4 times and was immune to the need to have now requirement of normal sports games) had major flaws on opening day. Patched completely imo after the second major patch, but improved with patches after that.

So everybody who plays All-Madden only do so because they want to find 'money plays'? You would rather ballet dance around the field with the correct numbers and players positions slightly adjusted?

Some people are easily please. For what it's worth, it applies to all levels.

No, thats not what I am saying. What I am saying is that in order to succeed in All-Madden where the CPU is overbuilt and cheats against you you have to find money plays to survive. You can't just run a normal offense and play a sim style game and survive it unless you are unbelievable with sticks, which most are not.

I'm saying that I prefer editing to fixing All-Madden (and if it applies to all levels I'm not sure what you are talking about) because it effects me more.

But either way it is not up to us anyway so its truly a moot point. Are you saying I'm one of the easy to please? Cause I'm not pleased. A little confused at that throwaway statement.

The product has been nothing short of terrible going on 8 years now. This year's game is the first game that shows SOME sort of effort. While it isn't fair to lump all of the gamechangers into the same bucket, you were strangely absent when some of them defended every aspect of Madden that was truly done poorly and incomplete. There was no mention of the lack of editing, the ridiculous number of oversights and bugs regarding both offline and online CC, nor the issues regarding the gameplay.

Also, just because you brought in a few guys from the sim standard and wined and dined them into trying to tell us the game was incredibly better doesn't carry any weight. You have a guy who was one of the original youtube critics who is doing great work by showing all of the glaring gameplay issues still in Madden in a professional and respectful manner that were done better in that "other" game, but you're in no hurry to include him. If you really were interested in making the game better, you would not be responding to a comment that provided no value, but you would simply be gathering the input from the community as a whole and realizing that there are massive issues with this game year after year. You're talking about a company who bought an exclusive license to the nation's most popular sport, then proceeded to destroy it with colossally bad products for 8 years.

Also, we all know why you mention the TSS guys. Your thinking was that if you brought in the supposed "harshest madden critics", you'd brainwash people into thinking that the game MUST be better. People make up their own mind here by playing the game. Tons of things are still broken gameplay wise, but to add to it, a bunch of things were removed and are now bug ridden that were in the non-gameplay areas. People are going to be upset. The price of the game wasn't lowered, so people's expectations aren't going to be.

Also, let's not forget the face of the gamechangers for Madden. SGibs and ZFarls (nothing personal), but they are admitted tourney type/glitch players. They profit by writing strategy guides that tell you how to simply win at Madden, completely disregarding "football", yet you are touting this as a true simulation game. Come on now...

There is a wealth of information here on OS that has been here for nearly a decade. Tiburon has chosen not to use it to improve the game. People are going to have their opinions about your game changer program. Have the mettle to take the info you need from the "negative" comments in order to make the product better. Even though you may not like how it was written or presented, the important thing is that you get the information.

People who want to play NFL games want to play football, not Madden-Ball. We're all tired of comparing this to the other game on the field, and complaining about the bugs in the mode off the field. Plenty of people want to love this game. Line play, player movement, running animations, NFL rules, NFL atmosphere, NFL presentation, realistic roster and off field management need major work to catch up to where we were. That's the feedback the team needs to hear about. When those things are finally polished and we get a product worth 65.00 that looks like a company with all access to the NFL built it, then more respect for the development team and its affiliates will follow.

Post of the millennium. I agree with everything you said in there.

Incorrect playing a normal game and winning is suppose to be hard , it's not impossible .

The removal of co-op has completely ruined the game for me. My brother, my friend and I would usually start a franchise together and it was really fun and challenging with adjusted sliders.

We also share a gamertag so it's really been a buzzkill this year...

So it should be that you win 5% of the time when you control the Ravens and the CPU is the dolphins? Really? That is somehow realistic?

I think we're getting our 'wires' crossed here. I was discussing people who's only concern is editing and how the game looks as opposed to how the actual game plays itself.

By editing, do you mean sliders? As I said above, my concern is some are happy with visual content rather than substance.

The bugs bothering me most are: The offline CCM being broken. (Josh Looman essentially confirmed this on Twitter) The sliders need to be the same as play now, the schemes shouldn't change, the subs are really screwed in pre-season. The AI playcalling is out of whack. The stats are really skewed in simmed games. I am pretty much just regurgitating all of the same stuff that has been mentioned on these forums again and again. I am not asking for you guys to add in all kinds of stuff (other than player editing) I am just asking that the features that are put in the game, work properly. Thanks for your concern, care, and taking time to ask questions.

Thought they were releasing the rosters and the title update?

So are they holding off the rosters until Wed or Thurs?

And I hated the e-bay style FA system.

I'm looking forward to playing this new franchise mode but I can't start it until the cpu play calling tendencies are fixed. Seeing the cpu just pound the ball on 1st and 2nd down, being overly predictable and not playing like the real teams do just kills the experience for me.

EA really needs to focus a LOT more on testing human vs cpu games instead of inviting game changers in to play each other all day long. EA also needs to invite at least one person in to do nothing but test the sliders - offline, online, Play Now, CCM and make sure they work and are effective.
Rudy, I agree with your points, but it indicates a larger issue.

They introduce something that is short sighted (E-bay style free agent bidding) and then abandon it. They talk about change in direction and foundations for future years but then abandon or remove those features the next year.

Some people like Ebay bidding (I did not), but to say you revamped Franchise mode, made it more intuitive and interactive, and then gut it the next year is one step forward, two steps back. I believe CCM has great potential though its very bare bones and horribly implemented this year. But if they stick with the framework and actually keep the vision going, I think it will be good.

The larger issue has plagued Madden and EA for a few years now. That issue is poor QA and testing. I understand not catching stuff that happens in Year 2031 but I don't understand how you miss CPU clock management, how you miss the terrible running game. How do you miss no transaction wire? Some of these things just scream terrible QA. There's a difference between a glitch that gets uncovered that happens once in a blue moon, but the CPU playcalling and such is an every time occurrence.

All of the GameChangers and EA reps can say they want to listen and hear our feedback. I truly believe they do. But they have to do something about this. That likely means doing something that will sound crazy. Be less innovative. Be less creative and ambitious. Try to do less, but do those things well. We don't need 100 new features if only 20 work right. We'd rather have 20 new features that are flawless. Don't take on as many new projects, focus on improving and refining what you have. We know you have grand visions for the game, so do we. But everytime EA tries to add all of these new features, they are put in half hearted and are terrible. Slow it down, take on less and make that better. People may kick and scream that there isn't as much new stuff, but that can be added to a great product. No one is happy with a broken product.

Then go back to all-pro lol . Not to argue with you or be disrespectful , but maybe you aren't ready for all-madden .

Its not anyone's only concern. No, I'm not talking about sliders, and I wish I had an idea of what to do with sliders because its either so hard for me that I can't beat the dolphins with the packers or I beat every team. I am really bad at defense and pretty good at defense (when I played I played QB/WR only so) so I end up having a competitive game, but with final scores like 52-45 but only if I'm controlling a bad team playing a good one.

I want editing in mainly to change positions from LB to DE or HB to FB or WR to TE etc. I don't have a prayer of playing all-madden and succeeding I simply don't have the reaction time or money plays to do so.

I was saying that I don't play All-Madden..that was the whole point. I alternate between pro and all pro, and I'm really not good enough to win at all pro. I'm a head coach type guy.

When are the new ccm rosters dropping

# 198 fantasysportsguy @ 09/10/12 09:28 PM
God only knows. I thought it was gonna be today or tomorrow but from the sound of things they are gonna be pushed back until later in the week now.

Not happy about the roster situation with this game, but thank God Gameface is getting taken care of. That is on the top of every Madden gamers list.

Thissss thank you!! If they cant figure out that other processes shouldnt be running while your in another mode then that horrible from a programming standpoint....

Every beginning programmer realizes that a cpu's main memory has only so much space which wouldnt allow it to run everything at once! Heck anyone knows this...However im positive they realize this so console "MEMORY ISSUES" cant possibly be the reason they didnt build upon last gen Franchises.

If the PS2 and Xbox1 could handle it how can the more powerful current gen consoles not? Things that make you go hmmm.....
