Madden NFL 13 News Post

According to Joystiq, we should see the first Madden NFL 13 title update on September 11th. No details were given.

In Madden NFL 12 we saw two title updates and were promised tuner sets that never arrived.

Let's hope the Madden team can deliver the goods this year.

UPDATE: Just received word from EA Sports. The September 11th date is not confirmed. No specific date can be provided regarding updates until they have been approved by first parties.

Quote:
"The team is absolutely committed to post-launch support, and we will make it a point to keep you updated on title updates, tuner sets, roster updates, new Madden Moments Live and more," EA said in a statement to Joystiq. Providing the Madden team sticks to its goals, Madden 13 is likely to receive more post-launch support out of the gate than last year's game had entirely.

Tuner sets=a slider makers worst nightmare.

I felt like Madden 11 had a ton of Title Updates while 12 had 2. One release day nad one other one..Hopefully 13, follows 11 (if things need to be fixed)

You just had to remind me Scott...

I hope The Show does a new update where old rosters cannot be used, but the game plays perfectly with the new update....

Actually, I would feel bad for you...all the work you put into those rosters...I take that back, I hope they don't.

LOL

Even w/out knowing what's going to be fixed, this sort of quick-action support is good news.

Does this mean that there will be a release day update or not till the 11th?

One of the early retail guys mentioned a 1.01 patch when he started up the game.

I just hope they don't mess up the game like they did NCAA 13 with their more then ever post launch support theme EA seems to be having this year.

I have no clue what it was for either, wierd but I do wish the IE from the demo was in the retail, it seemed more organic than it does now.

See now this is EA doing the right thing and giving us a warm and fuzzy feeling for their game. This is the kind of thing EA sports should be doing ALL the time.

Maybe they will update the commentary. Dont get me wrong I think the audio is FANTASTIC, but no mention of the game score at any point ruins the experience imo.

It is kinda of like taking a big swig from a gatorade only to find out someone dropped a cigarette butt in it.

Its hard to believe they didnt have Jim Nantz record game awarness in all of the hours they had him in the studio, has to be a mistake.

I realize there are sliders available online this year but tuner sets effect things that sliders can not. Can anyone think of a viable reason why this couldn't be done?
Not sure if you will find that in a patch day release(as they are already announcing it) or in a patch in between 13 and 14

I'm just not sure if that would require taking out code, putting in new code????
