Here it is, our first glimpse of NBA Live 13 in action.

Thoughts?

UPDATE: EA has taken down the video. Look through the comments section and you might be able to see a few pop up there, until they are removed as well.

Good thing we ended up with 2k basketball and not an exclusive EA basketball like they wanted. I like the ESPN but this game looks boring just like Madden

Not looking good. Highly disappointed, I wish some one could tell us if the e3 build looked better or worse then this.

Maybe I'm nitpicking but I didn't care for the commentary either. It doesn't sound natural. JVG literally sounds like he's reading it off a script. The rest of the commentary sounds somewhat choppy and doesn't blend well together.

Well it can be a pretty significant jump from pre-alpha to Beta. I feel most of the technology EA was touting in all of these interviews wasn't incorporated into this build.

- No "moving with a purpose" cause there was no off ball animations at all.
- A.I was not there because there were times when the whole OKC team was standing behind the 3pt line for no apparent reason
- With the amount of sliding and warping it looked like some animations were missing, could that be a result of no playmaker engine in this build?

For a game about the be shipped out; that video was terrible. For a pre-alpha version of a game; it wasn't all that bad. Either way, EA has got alot to prove especially with what the competition is showing.

The fact that what we've just seen pretty much looks like the bottom, there's clearly opportunity to go upwards and be better....much better.

Felt robotic and unnatural. Fully agree.

Only reason it gets a small nod from me is its ESPN and is something we actually see in real games. Give 2k that ESPN license and I guarantee they'd blow that little ESPN bit out of the water.

Yeah definately.

But in 2 years of development, pre-alpha could be like 10 months old, maybe more.

Everything looked all smooth during the warmups... then the game started and it wasn't even a hill to go down on, it just fell off a cliff.

On another note, I wonder what EA did with all of the copies of Elite. I mean are they buried in some desert somewhere, are they locked in a vault deep inside Area 51, did the launch them into space with the Mars Rover or did they just incinerate them all?
