Honestly the demo kinda killed my buzz for the game. The crowd noise is great, commentary is much improved. Hits sound ok. Graphics look amazing, really clear.

Camera work has DEFINITELY taken a step back from Madden 12. It's like they tried to take what they learned from CBS last year, and make their own mash up and FAILED. The game just seems so boring now from this aspect. It's repetitive and it seems like it was a glitch they just didnt bother to fix, because sometimes you get the camera zooms from last year. Replays are horrible, but I chalk this up to being just a demo, but they still look terrible. They serve no purpose.

Blocking seems a little better than NCAA. Passing feels the same as NCAA. Infinity Engine is not impressive at all in the demo imo. Way too much goofy stuff going on. I really think they should've improved the movement before adding this engine. AI is hit or miss. Things are just really inconsistent, like the whole game.

Overall it isn't a bad game, but it just feels half-assed. Doesn't feel like the NFL, this game just isn't it. Maybe next year.....

It's been that way ever since the "my skill" style sliders were introduced (most of this gen, in other words). If it actually feels unfair, that may mean the sliders truly work as intended this year.

Edit: meant to quote ghetto

Again, another person who is right on the money. I will give it a few more shots when I get off work but this may actually be the first time in a LONG time that I don't buy Madden. I'm up in the air about it, one second I think I will and the next I think I wont. But I've never even considered not buying any Madden until I played this demo. What a joke

Yea considering EA provided roster updates for madden 12 pretty much every week. So how hard is it to put 1 player in it lol

So, is the feeling 12 is better than 13?

I'm confused, not the 1st game I played today.

I was dissapointed in Madden NFL 12 (mainly since it didn't really feel like a 2011 sports game in comparison to other sports games released during the same year) but I'm impressed with Madden NFL 13. The game's infinity engine feels very good during running plays and tackles. Brings new life to running plays as well as playing on defense. Passing game feels basically the same but I haven't noticed defenders jumping up out of nowhere to bring down passes.

Graphics have seemed to take a bit of a hit though the game doesn't look bad. It just looks average/kind of dull during gameplay (the game looks good in replays though, especially with the new motion blur).

While it's not saying much (since the commentary in Madden 12 was absolutely horrible) the commentary has improved. Sounds more natural and there's no long pauses.

I like the new on screen graphics and transitions as well.

Overall, the game (based on the demo) is a really good improvement and brings new life into the series. Unfortunately though, it does it really late into this gen at a point in which the gen is about to end.

How did you get the infield dirt? Every video I does not have it

It's a demo. He'll be added into the actual game pretty quickly I'd imagine.

I took 11 off and enjoyed 12. This year the demo (so far) is leading me away from 13. I may skip it and get involved with another sports game. It's just not pulling me in.

Interesting, 12 I shelved pretty early, earlier than some other versions.

In no way, shape, or form

just got picked in cpu redzone. wud have beem a int td but the cpu fell over one of his players then got bundled by my guys. one of the funniest animations ive seen in madden. love the game but players do look a little clumsy at times. almost like pinballs.

I think I got time out of 12 because I didn't play 11 at all. The break helped me enjoy it. That and playing with a few friends on the weekend.

I guess I have to keep looking for what you're speaking to. Like I said the other day, it's hard for me to compare M12 & M13 and draw the conclusion that the camera work now is significantly worse than what we had last year. I find it to be largely similar (aside from the shots being pulled out some). I'd go as far as to say the cam work seems more polished this year, but I'd like to spend more time with the demo before I make such a declaration.

Whoa, people saying that Madden 12 is better?

Madden 12 isn't better than 13 in any way in terms of in-game. 13 is a HUGE jump.

The only thing that took a hit in-game was graphics but it's seemingly due to the default camera.

Me too. The only Madden I actually failed to compete a season just because I thought it was awful. '13 thus far from my demo impressions is leaps and bounds better.

Only thing I thought that was strange about the camera work was looking at the back of referees during penalties.

Is it just me or does Mike Shanahan look jacked? Looks like he spends 8 hrs a day in the gym. I think they need to test him for the juice. Looks HGH for sure.

I see a lot of people saying the camera angle is too far away. Is it even further away than NCAA??
