Is the NBA Live 13 Cover Athlete, LeBron James?

Just received this NBA Live 13 cover art featuring LeBron James, from an anonymous source.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but it is something we can chew on, while we wait for EA Sports and the NBA Live 13 team to make any announcements, on well... anything.

Why would EA put LeBron James on a cover and "hide" him this way with these art stuff.

Otherwise it makes sense, he was on this picture.

If this cover is true and the game does turn out to underwhelm from a gameplay perspective I hope noone buys it. EA shouldn't be rewarded based on flash if the game turns out bad.

Come on seriously! Lebron isn't making the game. I have seen garbage games with huge marketing stars on the cover. Him on the cover is doing what it's suppose to do, make fans interested.

This NBA Live thing is very intriguing as to if the game is coming out or not. But a Lebron cover seems like a very likely thing EA would do. I hope this game does come out so I can see how it plays compared to 2K and also to see how NBA Live has improved from NBA Live 10.

Be careful what circles you say that in. Three guys with bigger names than LeBron's were on a cover or two recently that some people decided meant nothing to game sales.

But LeBron is very business minded, I don't think he would just put his name on anything, even if they were paying him millions. I'm trying to think of something LeBron has put his name on that has flopped, nothing really comes to mind (correct me if i'm wrong). And what star is bigger than LeBron right now; if Live has LeBron on the cover this game can not possibly turn out to be an Elite 11

He had a first bad decision? For LeBron to be on the cover there must be something he knows about the game that we don't.

Does EA have rights to use the AmericanAirlines Arena? I haven't played live in forever but maybe its like how they couldn't get solider field in Madden for yrs.

well when ea did talk about their game or show pics it was mostly about lebron so most likely its going to be lebron on the cover but i dnt think the cover design is going to be like that just base on the other ea sports designs but they might wnt this game to stand out frm the others..which may be part of the reason they letting their other games get all the shine right now since they all about to come out soon. In my opinion is smart because we all knw nba live 13 wld be most talked then other ea sports game right about now and the sad part it is,it is kinda already being the most talked about ea sports game right now which kinda back firing on ea if that was the plan. so either way they kinda hurting themselves but i believe they going to have solid basketball game and 14 is going to be alot better. just my thoughts!

He won a ring though, what's bad about that. I'm just speculating anyways, I feel like they would have to show him something to spark his interest in being a part of this game. If the game looked like NBA Elite I don't think LeBron would be on board (If he really is the cover athlete).

Who cares who is a cover? It doesnt add anything to the game or anything. Covers for NBA, MLB whatever could be a glass of rocks for all I care

I am a huge LeBron fan and have been since he was at St. Vincent-St. Mary's. However I am not a sheep and I won't be buying this game solely based on him being on the cover (we don't know for certain yet, but just saying hypothetically).

Is LeBron supposed to be covered in flames? Or is that paint he is wearing?

Either way looks like EA was heavily inspired by the smoke and energy trails that 2K is well known for.

Could the anonymous source be EA...? This is really intriguing. I mean this cover art looks pretty realistic. If it was submitted by an anonymous source, it's probably real. I don't know...

A week ago I had people on here telling me that EA didn't need OS and that OS wasnt invited to their event

Now they would send a cover art to OS secretly?
