Got that cleared up.

We've laughed about that before. How people think it's him.

It's not. Promised.

I don't get how Durant is a 95. His shooting ratings are high, but he's not really a great post scorer, great passer or great defender, both in the post and perimeter wise. He's not extremely athletic like a Rudy Gay either. I hope his ratings aren't inflated for his weak points and he plays like he does in real life. I thought his 2k12 rating of 93 was good for him.

His 3 point shooting is higher this year

His assists per game have gone up significantly

His rebounding has gone up significantly and the only person at his position that gets more is lebron and its not that much more

He's getting his points with less assists this year, maybe that had something to do with ball handling or some stat

His blocks per game are up just a little

steals per game up also

And hes kevin durant the scoring champ, so just like Kobe and Lebron they will make him a little bit better than everyone else

So that justified the boost from 94 to 95

Who is the Insider?

Whoever it is missed a lot of things this past season. I had to send him multiple tweets just to get him to change DeAndre Jordan's jersey to the correct number. He also didn't give rookies actual picture portraits in any updates...

Both ratings are too high, but you'd expect 2K to inflate the ratings since the players are on the cover. I know it's asking a lot, but maybe 2K will actually get the players' accessories correct for once. I love seeing Jared Jeffries have all authentic accessories, while players such as Andrew Bynum and Blake Griffin can't even get non-generic shoes or an arm sleeve. It still boggles my mind why 2K refuses to outsource these easy fixes. And don't get me started on the hot and cold spots...

Kevin Durant being a 95 and Blake Griffin being an 87 mean these things to me:

1.) LeBron will probably be a 98 or 99
2.) Dwyane Wade will probably be a 93-94 (injuries taken into account)
3.) Kobe will probably be a 94-95

Considering Madden 12 had rookie pictures for around 4x the rookies when it also had a lockout, 2k should really have bothered to do that for us.

87 for griffin is good.

95 for durant is overrated though. he should be in the low 90s. not surprised though. 2k always overate superstars.

Lmao! Griffin hella over-rated, if he's a 87 then k love sould b a 90

95 might seem high but you can easily argue KD is the 2nd best player in the NBA now....also for guys wanting him to be a 92 or 93, 2 points isnt that much of a difference.....its not like he should be rated a 80 and has a 95.

# 17 JazzMan @ 07/11/12 07:21 AM
Blake is NOT an 87. He should be an 80 at most. All he can do is dunk...
If Blake's an 87, K-Love better be a 90.

And if Gordon Hayward isn't over 70, there will be hell to pay!

I didn't catch the live stream interview. Were the ratings for KD & BG all that came from it? If so, unbelievable.

# 19 AirJordanFan93 @ 07/11/12 07:43 AM
ok Lebron has to be a 99 this year just so everyone knows hes the only current NBA god.

Wade will be a 95
Kobe is gonna be a 94

As for Blake that seems about right I find him extremely overrated

They're really isn't much seperation from the two of them. Kevin is better outside shooter, but Griffin is more efficient, scores at a higher percentage and can finish inside. Love is a better rebounder, but Griffin is a better passer and ball-handler. Neither player defends well nor has a postgame. I'd give a slight ratings edge to Love, but Griffin is right behind him.

Durant's rating is pretty good, but his defense isn't at an elite level yet. I'm scared to see Westbrook, Bryant and Wade's respective individual and overall ratings.
