Madden NFL 13 News Post

It looks like Trey Wingo of NFL Live will be featured in Madden NFL 13. In what capacity? Not sure. No details have been released on exactly what he'll be doing. Based off of yesterday's NCAA Football 13 coverage, it could be something similar.

Check his Twitter timeline and you can see a few conversations about it.

He also tweeted a picture from the Madden NFL 13 green room, which you can see here.

Now after going on YouTube to investigate, the bar for the weekly recap show in Madden 13 has been raised. NO VIDEO, NO PEACE!

Told ya Homie.....it was off the chain.

Thats why it kills me that these developers today (not just EA) seem to be acting as if a weekly recap show is so difficult to include when we beg for it year after year.

2K did this so splendid. And that was FIVE YEARS ago!!!!!!!!!

And Western Civilization forgot how to construct large stone buildings with arches and domes for hundreds and in the case of the latter most over 1000 years.

Thus the question is begged, did barbarians sack game development companies and are all remaining developers illiterate in regards to the language of years past? If so it would explain so much of what has happened.

Now we must ask are we entering the renaissance or just the Charlemagne Renaissance?

And they said a degree in history would never come in handy, pshh.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but something tells me we weren't given the whole truth.

I guess I'm at a loss here, help me out.

EA didn't reveal this info, Trey Wingo did.

You 2k fans are killing me. Why would you assume they would have any kind of show in a football game? Realistically they have been make NBA 2k since college hoops 2k8 dropped and there still isn't a weekly recap show or real halftime show in those games. Like always 2k gets too much credit and EA gets too much blame. The grass isn't always greener guys

Kotaku wrote an article on this today and referenced this thread in the article, pretty cool to see them reference us.

You're right seven years later it still hasn't come back. And it hasn't been implemented in any other major sports games either. I don't know, if it really was that great, you'd think that other sports games would have jumped all over having it in their games.

Madden Hasnt HAD A HALFTIME SHOW BECAUE THEY NEVER HAD ESPN SPONSORSHIP OR NOTHING LIKE THAT TO GET ONE ITS NOT REALLY MUCH TO BRAG ABOUT IN THE ARGUEMENT THAT 2K IS BETTER, FOR GOODNESS SAKE. Madden is Eventually going to Be satisfying to everyone. I Love playing it because its the closest thing to the NFL when it comes to video games, And i love to play in online lgs

This is great and all, but Wingo & Kiper (and Berman and a broadcast team) were all available in ESPN NFL2K5. Way to keep up pace, Madden team.

(Sorry, you know someone had to say it.)

Actually, you aren't the first and you won't be the last, either.

People actually like Trey Wingo. Wow. He's one of the main reasons I rarely watch NFL live. . I'd rather watch the blond who has the voice to fit in on Fox News before I watch "Trey" host NFL Live.

I watch NFL Live when Trey and Elizabeth's husband who was terrible but has the nerve to criticize players he was never as good as is not on the set..

I remember when Wingo used to host the NBA show on ESPN. They had to get rid of him because he doesn't have a cool gene in his body and he's pretty annoying.

NFL 2k5. The most overrated sports game of all time. I would rather play 4th and inches.

what do you mean by living franchise? can you go into detail for me?

What is Trey Wingo's role in the game? I'm a little confused, in the webcast it only showed him at the bottom of the screen and it looks like you just hear him but don't see him. A while back he tweeted a picture of his desk and a green screen and said it was for Madden 13, so do we actually see him in a studio or just hear him do draft stuff? If so, why did he tweet that picture?

Im still waiting on some response to this question. I'm already a leeeeetle disappointed there is no weekly wrapup show.
