Also, there is a pre-order guarantee so if the price drops between now and release date, you get the lower price.

Haven't bought NCAA much lately, not even sure I want it this year but for that price I went ahead and preordered it.

The changes coming in this year seem good so for $45 I'm pretty sure I'll get it.

I pre-ordered it when it was still 60$ they say the price guarantee will give you the lowest it ever gets. I checked my account and it still says 60$? Will they wait until it ships incase the price may change again?

I just canceled my original order and reordered at the new price. No hassels.

You didn't have to do that, they'd have given you the lower price..

What would happen is your order would have stayed $59.99 but then when it shipped your card would have been charged the lower price and you would have gotten an email later that day or the next day saying why your card was charged the lower amount and talking about how Amazon ALWAYS price matches to ensure you get the lowest price..

Which is one large reason IMO to preorder everything as early as you can from Amazon, if you preorder a game a year in advance at any time throughout that year if the price drops you get that price...

You will get it for the lowest price you ordered it for. Generally they send you an email right before release telling you that you're getting it for 15 dollars less or something, IIRC.

I hate giving money to EA sight unseen, but $45 + no tax + free release date shipping = done deal.

If it is a flop, I can unload it quickly and probably recoup most of what I paid for it. Don't want to have to do that, though.

EA Season Ticket = Game 3 Days early.
Amazon Pre-Order = $15 saved.

Win.Win.

Yeah, that was my thought process, too.

Like I mentioned, I have a $30 gift card from Best Buy, so if NCAA 13 has a glaring issue like last year when the player tendencies being messed up, I can unload it, get close to $30 in trade-in credit and pick up another game without having to spend any extra money.

I'm hoping, though, that NCAA 13 stays in my rotation for a while.

I need it to. Last year was probably the least I've played an NCAA game for the last 4-5 years. Too many issues to make it enjoyable.

Also Mizzou's move to the SEC has got me pretty pumped about this college football season, so I'd love for NCAA to really deliver and make it a great year both on the real gridiron and the virtual one.

with the 45 price point i think even the detracters that are on the fence will jump on this. Its one thing to get it at 60, its another to get it for 45.

personally the dynasty recruiting improvements and the presentation details jumped it over the top with the already announce other improvements. Still worried about the buggyness from last year, but at 45 bucks i'm all over it.

I'm also not going to get SCREWED out of uniforms this year either. Bastards.
