The thing that I feel is missing from Madden's running animations is that it doesn't feel as if the player has weight to him when he plants a foot to cut. You can juke out a guy with the left stick easier than the Juke buttons, imo.
^^^^^THIS!

* btw, to the one who said 2k running animations look like real life.... go watch some football, and read what jpdavis said... SMH!

End the 2k talk, guys

1:49 in the Madden 12 video is the closest thing to look like real life in either of the 2k/Madden videos, if you don't think so you're just hating on Madden. Oh and gotta love that tackle at 2:12, that was great.

Again as every year cautious optimistic about Madden. Every year we are told how awesome the game will be.

I wasn't trying to bring that up, just comparing Madden running to real life, I mean that is the standard and what we are after.

I saw that too @sageInfinite but maybe Madden 14 if not this year...

I just found out that CBS doesn't use sideline reporters, so I guess we won't be seeing them in Madden either. They did use them during the Super Bowl in 2010, but that was the only time since I think 2006. I wonder if Madden 13 will use them in the Super Bowl, probably not. I'm hoping for an all new presentation for the Super Bowl though, there should be one since they have new commentators. They need to make the game more exciting and make you feel the scale of it throughout the game, not just at the end.

Maybe what for Madden 14? Sorry, wasn't sure what you were referring to.

Has anyone realized that the Madden 12 E3 trailer, which Madden 12 didn't have motion blur, but the trailer has the same motion blur that Madden 13 has?

Just wanted to point this out for those who didn't think having motion blur was a big deal. If you've played Madden 12 at all you can tell just how much better it looks with motion blur here, vs what you see in game.

Mark is a good person to bring in to market the game honestly.

Not really a fan at all of the new scorebug at top of screen, looks like it was made for the Wii.

# 33 statum71 @ 05/03/12 06:46 PM
I know they say "work in progress"........

So please please please don't let the way Frank Gore was running be final. That looked really really bad.

Ok, guys... I just deleted I think 14 off-topic or comparison posts... and issued warnings. If you want to compare games do it in the football-other forum.

And Gore looked ridiculous, and so does that scorebug. It looks like NCAA with the "school" font. Yuck.

Yeah I don't know what would make them think that scorebug looks like a cbs broadcast. I mean everything else I have seen graphics package wise has, but the scorebug isn't even close.

# 37 DELUS1ONAL @ 05/03/12 07:30 PM
I agree with everyone that said the scorebug looks bad. It looks like an arcade game with that blue.

# 38 bonannogiovanni @ 05/03/12 07:30 PM
It may not be the best scorebug, could be better, there's too blue in it, no color variations like in the realm CBS one, but it's always better than all previous Madden's scorebug.

On another note, I'm very concerned, once again, about running animations, old gen ones are still better, every year I expect an overhaul and get regularly disappointed.

zig zag running (aka tron jogging) is by far the biggest cheese in madden. it is far worse than rocket catching because any body can hop online and basically destroy a good defensive team with any running back that have decent speed. i dont know why ea dont care about zig zag running. it completely affect the out come of a game. zig zag running is the different between a five yard gain and a 78 touchdown. the running animation is fine. ea should just turn down agility. i mean they should turn it way down.

Blah I hate the OL/DL interaction and I hate cut scenes....please take the 2k route and just do live camera cuts on the players. That to me looks more authentic...
