Madden NFL 13 Presentation Impressions

The Madden NFL 13 presentation team had some lofty goals this year.

World Class presentation was No. 1 on their list. Everything that has been done in the past has been taken to the next level, as the new broadcast team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms comes to life, making it look and sound as realistic as possible. The new Connected Careers mode (details coming June 4) wouldn�t be complete without them, keeping the presentation realistic.

Presentation overall looks good, the addition of announcer's actually in the booth and the ability to see them throughout the game was nice.

The menu system has been completely overhauled and it looks smooth.
The biggest thing that caught my eye was in the opening menu there was the option to play as Player or Coach, when I asked about it Ryan F. just posted a smiley.

I'm assuming they are at a minimum going to implement some form of coaching carousel which would be awesome or a full blown HC mode. That's speculation but definitely one of the minor menu options I noticed.

I am excited to see how the broadcast comes to life during gameplay. All of the pre-game sounds great as long as they keep it fresh for every game and it doesn't get too repetitive. A little dissapointed about the lack of a true halftime show but if the gameplay is on point, this isn't my most pressing issue. Thanks for the write up.

Love the new Lighting an Cleaned Up fields...Makes everything(Art Wise) stand out that much more

We'll have to see more of Nantz an Simms but I had a favorable first impression of them

Graphic overlays looking good, very CBS-ish

I, for one, can't wait for this game. But I do not like these silly "embargoes" and "wait til this day" for more info. Just tell us what's in the game when you know you're putting it in there.

I really really hope they do something about the players always running into each other after the play and just wondering around aimlessly. Watching that is so horrible and takes away the immersion factor.

I think CBS will be in the game soon but not this year

Lighting sounds awesome, that is immersion. Different team booth shots also is a nice little touch. I need to watch the presentation video, but it seems improved. As long as I know they will keep building on top of the current additions, I can live with that. Still no halftime show is odd.

Please let their be a coaching carousel of some sort.

I wish they could at least use the PS3's built in screenshot feature (familiar to anyone who plays MLB The Show) - the functionality is there but so few developers actually use it...

The presentation looks INCREDIBLE...I loved the fact it showed the announcers in the booth, and I loved all the new wipes, stat banners, starting lineups, etc. I am so pumped!

Hmm, things sound real good from all that I've read. Saw the vid on EA's site and although Phil and Larry looked funny and cartoonish, seeing them in the booth in this game is VERY welcome!!

Now, I thought 12 looked wonderful, tho not perfect, of course, but now that they say that 13 will basically blow 12 away in that dept, WHOA!

I wanna know what this huge gameplay addition/change/whatever will be. Can't wait for the announcement.

Also, glad to see that adding more staff to the making of this game has been paying off. Maybe even the change of those in charge of this game has paid off, as well. Good stuff, here, so far.

Presentation looked really good (although I can't stand Simms) and am excited on what we haven't seen yet.

With that being said,I HOPE they actually say players names instead of "he" takes the snap or "he" hands the ball off to the "rb",or "he" makes the catch.

Presentation looks to be the best Madden has ever had. I like the CBS setup. Not a fan of Simms calling games but I like the touches they made here.

Jim and Phil are aware of everything going on in the season. This means they are aware of the placement of your team in the playoff race. They will take note of the type of game you are currently playing, whether it’s a must win game, primetime Monday nighter, a Conference round playoff matchup or the Super Bowl. They will talk throughout the game, banter back and forth and have a memory, to touch back on things that were already discussed.

Aside from a halftime show this was one of my most wanted items on my Madden 13 Presentation wishlist, keeps the game fresh
