Celtics vs Heat game 7 of 82 (assosiation Mode with patch)

Celtics 105 - 96 Heat

I shot 54% from the field + 42 from 3
Heat shot 53% + 55 from 3

They shot 60% in the 4th quarter 12/20 < Joke

I held them to around 75 points in the 3rd quarter and they came out blazing in the 4th, I dont like that at all. Clutch factor is off Btw

What difficulty are you using?

Maybe you 360 users got hosed or something LOL. It seems like you all are getting a totally different experience than what us PS3 users are getting. I will say this, though:

A few posts back, I complained about on-ball defense (mostly mirroring), speed in the open court, and slippery ball handlers (the cpu) still being issues for me. I've alleviated those issues somewhat by putting on-ball defense, defensive awareness, quickness, and ball-handling all on zero for both me and the CPU. And I'm playing on Hall of Fame.

Putting the ball-handling on zero doesn't hurt your ability to do isomotion moves with point guards, but it should make centers dribble the ball slower. Also, the on-ball defense and defensive awareness to me represents reaction time and nothing else. I felt the reaction time was too instantaneous for my liking; zeroing those two sliders helps that out somewhat.

Certain things are hardcoded into the game, so zeroing out sliders doesn't have the same effect this year as it did in previous years. I'm still able to stay in front of ball handlers on defense, and my A.I. teammates still rotate properly.

With most of the rookies being in, i guess i'll start a MP.

I don't know, maybe i should wait until they update the rosters one last time..but damn, the anticipation is killing me.

Its funny yesterday, There weren't a whole lot of complaints when only ps3 users had the patch. Are you guys playing with the 2k rosters on allstar difficulty level on sim or default? I'm just curious. A lot of complaints about up and unders, dribbling, play breakdown, excessive pump fakes, can be fixed with roster editing.

The main problems i mentioned are speed of cpu recovering and association stat glitches.

I'm playing All star / Simulation and i'm having a blast.

Take note, i don't use the default coach settings..i use YouAlreadyKnow coach settings, so the CPU scoring in the paint stuff isn't an issue at all..

I'm having a blast as well. I tried his sliders postpatch I feel they need updating in some areas and perfect in others. Looking foward to his updated set and Bedwardsroy19 rosters. Just give me a speed patch and I'm all set to go.

NBA2k12, it's like buying furniture from IKEA - you do it yourself.

So I just downloaded a 3mb patch for 360...I thought I read that it was 42 mb for PS3? Hopefully it's the right one!

It's only 3mb WiLL.

What slider affects the CPU 4th quarter greatness? In my association, the 4th is always a nail biter because the computer will shoot 60% and do whatever it takes to keep the score close. It really makes the game feel scripted.

Yeah, definitely seeing some nice changes.

Played a game online Pacers vs. Suns. Was able to consistently get by Nash off the dribble (he was clearly playing off ball, roaming with Gortat). Passing is much improved, I could hit West and Hibbert in the post much easier.

I noticed far less bobbled receptions...hopefully that holds true through multiple games. I still had some unwanted momentum on a couple passes, but I didn't exactly throw them at the best time so that could be why.

It definitely feels like a true successor to 2k11 now. With cleaner ball movement and tighter control of your dribble, you can really appreciate the new pull up jumpers.

I also didn't experience any input delay on my post moves, which was a nagging issue pre-patch.

Yes, I have the patch.

Morph blocks are where the CPU 'morphs' over to get a block even though they are realistically out of position. User then gets the ball morph through there hand/arms.

Like I said, I will provide proof once the vid gets on the site.

Also, I would like to say that the first play of the game, Dwight gets the ball at the top of the key where he is the ball handler with a Hedo pick (WTF?) then they both crash into the paint, D12 handsoff to Hedo who under the rim kicks to Jameer Nelson.

Who then does a hesitation, then an in and out, where the ball goes through Dwight Howards chest/head w/o collision. The ball then goes to Hedo (whos been standing in the paint for 8 seconds w/o leaving) Hedo catches, goes up, does a contact animation w/o contacting anyone, foul is called, Shawn Marion comes flying over 'morph' (CPU) and blocks the ball at the top of the square. Hmmm....

I didn't know Marion was inspector Gadget. Go go springy legs ! He leaped pretty damn high from the spot he was at.

Or like Bobby Bitto would say, " It must be the shoes !"

As an avid complainer about this game since October... I'm now good to go. Not because of some epiphany, but because the majority of my issues were fixed...

All Star Default is awesome because I can actually counter the AI even though the game remains challenging...I am not getting out rebounded +5-10 every game. The AI misses shots that I contest...The game is simply much smoother...

Hate that you guys aren't having the same experience....but I'm straight!

What about the speed factor ? I haven't been online for a few days, and that issue was probably the more annoying of them all.

# 316 jersez @ 12/14/11 04:24 PM
DId they fix the speed recovery?

Good to go here. Even thought I lost by a bunch last night, I didn't feel cheated.

Do you need xbox live to get the patch or no?

# 320 yossihaz1 @ 12/14/11 04:40 PM
just had a post patch game now
i played as knicks vs charlote on pro default
passes are still slow, the cpu had some contested shots in the last seconds, fast break were very unefficient because the ai was very quick on d
many times i felt the controller didn't respond in time on d which caused me many easy buckets (same happened after i changed controller)
i love this game but for me the patch change nothing
peace
