Leave it to the local paper to blow it out of proportion, then.

Edit: That was not meant as sarcasm, the local paper did blow it out of proportion.

I'm surprised Derrick Williams hasn't signed yet since he has already been practicing with the Timberwolves. Hope he doesn't hurt himself before signing.

Ya'll need to get your info right. He's signed his deal.

Rookies can't practice if they havn't signed.

Your list is inaccurate :

Williams has been practicing with his team therefore he's signed.

The same w/Hamilton http://www.nba.com/nuggets/news/hami...2_09_2011.html

Where have you seen he's signed? Everything I've seen says otherwise. "In Minnesota, No. 2 pick Derrick Williams practiced with the expectation his deal would be signed no later than Saturday" source = http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/1...n_1140785.html
I've also not seen it mentioned at http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html

Neither Williams or Hamilton has signed yet. Expected late tonight or tomorrow for announcement. Trust me the list is accurate as of right now. I'll continue to update frequently as a reference guide for roster editors like myself.

I would think Sunday or Monday.

Jon Leuer Of Milwaukee will sign tomorrow as well. Kemba Walker is also expected to sign tomorrow morning.

The 2k roster update in my opinion will be released late tomorrow or early Monday AM.

I am hoping they not only include the missing rookies but the missing veterans that have signed guaranteed deals as well, also updating appearances where needed also. Assistant coaches need updateing as well for Association mode, I wrote Ronnie2k and Chris (LD2k) on twitter with the needed Assistant coach changes and also the missing veterans needed to be added along with the rookies. Hopefully they pass the info along.

# 114 Tomba @ 12/10/11 07:39 PM
Are these guys(rookies) guys like kemba holding off for more money, negotiating or are they pigeon holed into a set rate?

never knew how this really worked...

My idea would be to get every player that was in the first round a min 1 year 1 millon dollar contract because "hey" they made it to be picked in the first round... Its almost like an achievement or prize...

Then second rounders get like 500,000 because they were drafted in the 2nd round...

Its an accolade to be picked outta college or what have you, BUT you limit it to that one year...THEN you CAN negotiate.

Initially it seemed like a lot.

But the average would drop severely after that. Say a guy gets like 10 minutes playin time every game averages 2 pts a game. AVERAGES not ablow out game like Morrow or anything like that but just averages barely a shot game being on the court for like 10 minutes agame...

IF he was a millon dollar contract guy well i wouldnt understand him playin 10 minutes only(head coach!) but if he wa sa second rounder making like that half a mil. THEN he'd get cut nuff said

# 115 Thelorn @ 12/10/11 07:55 PM
Pretty positive Tomba that the money is set in stone with no negotiation. I believe it depends on the team. Clearing cap space, clearing roster room, passing physicals and I'm sure more politics in what takes longer on some rookie signings then others.

Yeah Williams isn't signed but hes playing with them already. Unless he signed and nobody in the NBA world is talking about it.

He's also said before 2k was fixing online issues and fixing online in general but it still has lots of problems. I take anything said by anyone involved in the gaming world with a grain of salt.
