Steve Kerr is a great addition. Liked him a lot on Live. I would like to know if audio patching will also be available on pc.

Generally speaking and basing my opinion on video clips I say audio has been improved.

sounds like they were in the studio together man...

why cant more games do this?

This all sounds very promising, and it seems that a lot of effort has been put into improving every aspect of the commentary.

But it is the next insight that really has me intrigued. also still waiting for the post/control videos.
Bottom line:

Does anybody know if we'll be able to turn off the main commentary, but keep the introductions and halftime commentary?

I generally play without commentary so I feel like I'm on the court, but like to hear the halftime show, and I'm pretty sure you could only turn off all commentary, and not keep the halftime commentary in 2k11.

Simply awesome, and just think they have more to expand upon for next year too. Nba2k15>>TNT inside the NBA.

I'd be delighted even if all they did was replace the overlays with TNT ones and include the NBA on TNT theme.

wow...2k went all out in improving every area of the game...it won't be long before playing 2k will be almost indistinguishable from real basketball.

The inner audiophile in me, I hope the engulfment of those clips sound like that on my xbox and tv..

As far as the different lines of commentary given and different sounds of eras... I give credit where its due.. 2k is the best in the sports business with that.

Wonder if they have the showtime lakers defense chant with the organ and drums..

One thing I'm still really curious about, that they alluded to but didn't go into depth with, is references to streaks or records not just over weeks but over seasons. What I mean is, in one of the dialogue samples they mention the Heat and how some expected a drop off this year but they've pretty much stayed on course. Can we expect to hear that said about, say, the Bucks if they go 50-32 in our Association one year and then start off 26-10 the next? Or is that a scripted comment about the Heat that we can expect to hear about them every year whether they play well or not, keep all their superstars or not? And what if a team like the Spurs falls all the way off from their league-leading record to something like 30-52? Could we expect to hear reference to that?

I wonder if they have player-specific comments for Steve Kerr the player in Jordan's Bulls for Steve Kerr the commentator to talk about.

First patch will be Metta World Peace, I don't think they got the former Artest name in the game lol. I liked what I heard but the patching sounds great

I wouldnt overly expect things from them but if they get all the real basketball sounds right, that's half the battle

The game looks more alive so hopefully these sounds take it to the next level

Sound can make or break a movie, so why cant it enhance a game? It can

I'm already a little disappointed. Maybe I'm wrong but its seems like more people play the association than NBA Today. Last year in the audio insight, they introduced the "Full" Halftime show that included a "look around the association". Some of believe that it made perfect sense to be apart of the Association, only to find out later that it was only for the NBA today 2.0. Now they are introducing the weekly and monthly awards doing some of the Halftime segments, and from the wording, it seems this as well will not be in the association but just apart of NBA Today 3.0. Leaving things like this out of the Association mode is really disappointing. I still have getting the game but I hope I'm wrong about this when they finally release an Association insight that expands on some of the things they mention in this insight.

I am impressed with what I have read so far. Audio has a profound effect on the atmosphere of a game. I can't wait to hear more arena specific sounds. They are really blurring the lines in the realism of their game! I really really hope they can get Harlans phrases in the game! That adds to the emotion of the game. I am playing my friend in a head to head match-up and I come down the court with jamal Crawford and shoots a 3 in the defenders eye. He puts his hands up for the 3 and we here Harlan say... RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!!!

Who else wished they'd have an audio clip for the crowd....

# 59 videobastard @ 09/23/11 03:43 PM
The way the insight was going i thought there was going to be just a crowd audio file that might have distinguished regular season from playoffs, and maybe some arena's decimals being louder then others.
