Shortest distance between two points = straight line
The only bad thing about that sequence was charge or a blocking foul not being called.

havnt read through the thread but im going to be completely honest...and i know im going to catch flack for this but in my honest opinion THIS particular footage didnt look all that "new" to me. I seen a little bit of the extra movement in the post position briefly..i seen what looks to be a new iso-animated crossover from ray allen..and i THINK i seen a faster pull-up jumper from Paul Pierce. Outside of that..this looks to play alot like 2k11. Now im not saying i expect a drastic change in gameplay this year but juding by this vid and this vid alone, i think people are overreacting on how "amazing" it looks compared to 2k11. It really doesnt look THAT much different at all...in my opinion atleast.

I think its important that i be honest with my post and i think everybody should as well...i get the sense some of you guys kind of overdo it with your assesment and give the developers kind of a false judgement. I think that can only hurt us in the long run with future games and future improvements. I loved 2k11 even with its problems so dont get me wrong. But im hoping and expected to see more DYNAMIC post moves that are more manually useful rather than a animation that causes another animation to happen semi-automatically.

Im also really really hoping manually controlled man on man defense works better this year. Last year it was extremely hard to consistantly stay in front of your man online and forced me to play off ball defense more than i wanted.

I also wanted to see more fast stop and pop u

come on 23, I know it's a video game and it will never be perfect and 100% realistic but Gordon got crossed and he shouldn't be able to run to the hoop before Allen. Just no way to me. That's just a flaw in recovery system

like I said it is a video game but imagine sth like this happen in real game - no way..if you get beat you get beat - you're 1-2 steps behind (always)

I know I'm going to catch hell, but does a 8 minute video need to be over dissected? From Mo Williams model, he's a role player and looks better than last year, to one-on-one defense everything is judged on a ridiculous scale. I understand that everyone has a right to criticize, it is a message board after all, but these discussions are the reason I believe little footage is shown pre-launch. No disrepect intended to anyone and I really enjoyed the footage.

The game is looking great!! Being able to slow walk/full sprint with the ball has an affect on so many more other things..The commentary is sounding excellent as was expected.. Steve Kerr is definitely a welcomed addition to the crew..

Coming in, I was worried about post moves and how their activation being moved from the LT+RT to the Y button would affect:

The ability to execute post moves on command... Despite the complaints I saw on the forum, post moves were very user intuitive last year. I was able to do on command 95%, if not 100% of the moves whenever I wanted to.

Perform gathers and hop steps.. From the looks of the video, it doesn't look like either of the two will be an issue..

Allen drives to the basket scores and a foul. Where the hell is the crowd to attending that ? Itīs the same static crowd as last year, no improvements in that area and still a big lack in atmosphere. Thankīs 2K :-(.

Otherwise, i like the gameplay, animations and rebounding.

You've been here long enough to know that dissecting happens every year. That's just part of community and it helps improve the game.

Cmon man - I haven't commented on it because they are right. That's not physically possible to do what he did. When have you ever seen someone get beat off the dribble at the top of the key, recover and then attempt a charge?

It's a minor gripe but let's stop the whole "what happened makes comple sense" argument here.

It's a game - it's not perfect - but don't justify something that just isn't possible. In basketball, you beat your defender and you keep him at the hip. That is why what you saw doesn't happen, faster or not.

This is a huge improvement and a well done job, the introduction is great & the comments are beautifully put in a perfect sequence.
I wish they put an interactive commentary in My Player & the Association modes, In 2K11 in the players are traded and the commentary still refers to them as if they are not, the funny part in the introduction, they announce the player with his old team with the logo of the new team behind him. In My Player mode the comments were never related to the player, a bit annoying. I hope all are fixed with 2K12.

there's no crowd reaction because it's at the beginning of the first quarter.. if they were down and coming back or they just took the lead late in the game, i would expect the fans to react. I went to A LOT of Bobcats games last year, that is almost exactly how the crowd reacts to and 1s in the 1st quarter, just a few claps. Only thing that gets cheered for in the 1st quarter are intros, dunks, cheerleaders, and t shirt tossing...

Nice that the game quickly showed MO williams stats so far when he was just bringing the ball upcourt after the Celtics scored.

thats bull about it being the first quarter...that was an and1 play there should at least be a cheer and crowd just sat there quietly and comparing Bobcats fans to Boston fans? c'mon man...

watch the vid again when Allen made the first jumper the crowd reacted to that but an and1 play no reaction...I would think getting an and1 would have a bigger reaction...

That's what I was thinking, just because it was the 1st quarter doesn't mean that the crowd won't react at all. Pretty much any game I've been too, be it high school, college, or professional, there will be some kind of reaction from the crowd when a player gets an and 1. No offense to the Bobcats or their fans, but I would also say that the Boston fans have a bit more passion(especially when comes to the Celtics) then the Bobcats fans.

If I'm not mistaken the crowd reacts appropriately throughout the video except for that moment. So you deem "it's the same static crowd/no improvements"? No need to overstate issues to try to make a point. I know it was an issue at times in 2K11 also, but the issue should be kept in perspective. I'd like for it to be perfect, but if the crowd's reacting correctly 90% of the time and misses on the other 10% that ratio should be kept in mind instead of making over the top statements there's been "no improvements in that area" when there obviously have been.

I do have an issue with the Griffin layup, it just looks awkward and you never see dudes lay the ball in like that..I also didn't like that Haywood one the other day from xplay.. they really need to work on some of these layup/shot animations for bigs..that Haywood shot is also impossible to contest quickly enough because all the players (even the ones who are supposed too) don't get off their quick feet enough to contest those types of shots..

However.. everything else looks pretty awesome.. I thought it was very cool what Griffin did in the post on his first post up possession with his back.. he always does that in real life so I'm glad they captured it when he's trying to get a feel for the players hand on his back.. I'm not sure if anyone caught this but in one instance, Ronnie was about to use a modifier move with Rondo and as soon as he started he got bumped by a player, Rondo broke out of the animation and threw up a two handed floater that rolled off the rim.. that was very nice to see...

I also like how E. Gordon ran to the corner for the end 3 pointer and got fed for a shot as the buzzer sounded, that was a great AI sequence.

The audio was absolutely incredible...it sounds exactly like real life. Kudos to the sound team, maybe Madden can abduct you in the middle of the night.

Sweet! This is what sports video gaming is supposed to look like. Can't wait.
