Im impressed, didn't think Id be that wow'd after 2k11....but 2k has shown that they can still push the series forward in a big way even when they already have a fantastic game

I'm LOVIN Ray Allen's jumpshot. And that Paul Peezy pull up J was too sweet son. Also looks like crossovers are back. They were pretty bland in 2K11 and everyone had the same crossover.

I need to see some footage of D.Rose or CP3 with these new handles!!!

I'm just ready for the game at this point. Some nice sequences in that vid by the way... Loving the collisions and commentary.

Ended up downloading the video in 720p. (YTD, cough, cough...) I'm really starting to wonder if they could hold the framerate for all cams as well as last year. Even on Broadcast cam you could see it chugging. As a Drive Cam player, I'm worried that it's gonna be messed up. On a more positive note, I like the player movement and I can see the improvements in the CPU's Defensive AI. It would be nice to have a full game to see it adapting. Ronnie really isn't very good, I couldn't see where he ran one full play through. It was classic 2k run and gun. Nice to see the D shut him down.

Overall, stil looking forward to next month, but might have to hit the Gamestop to get more of a look at camera performance. Skipped 2k9 and 10 on 360 because of framerate issues. (did get 2k10 on PC, much later) I'd hate to have to do it again, but can't see getting the headaches I did with all the choppiness. We'll see....

I would agree had Ray stayed going the same angle but he cut a couple of extra times allowing the recovery

but this bothered me a bit, i think someone else mentioned it as well, but when ray went left he beat his man off the dribble, yet for some reason the defender gets right back in front of ray 1 second later, that should not happen. once a man is beat 99% of the time he is not getting back in front of the offensive player and i hope there is something 2k can do about this

to my eyes it doesnt look like he was beat all the way

Ray allen isnt quick or fast either

Its cool that he got there but if he would have gotten there in time to draw the charge from that angle I would have been mad

I don't like how the defender gets beat but somehow recovers, runs back and tries to draw a charge? That's really unrealistic and would never happen in real-life. If a defender gets beat, he would most likely try to swipe the ball from behind and a help defender would either step in or try to draw the charge, not the same defender who just got beat...

see 23's post...

if it was 2k11 then the defender would've been stuck in an and 1 animation and Kaman would be doing that charge at you without jumping one hand animation to the face move...

Complain when you see Derrick Rose do that on Mo Williams and Mo somehow is right there in front of Rose when he goes to the hoop.

realistically speaking though gordon should have came back on the side of ray not in front of him, ive never once seen a defender get beat then magically get back in front of him, unless like you said if ray was to stop and pop a short jumper and gordon overpursued that would make sense, but since ray went for the layup gordon should have been along the side of him trying to contest the shot

It would be different if Gordon had slipped, and you saw that dreaded animation where he falls, only to get back up like he was Lazarus a milli-second later.

good point. i just dont want it to be where im kobe trying to take it to the rack and i get past my defender and he magically gets back in front of me like in 2k11...but otherwise this game is blowing me away

Loved the Intro at the beginning.

Rest of the video was solid but I didn't really see anything that blew me away, especially with what they've been preaching about with SP.

hate to say it but i'm a little disappointed with what i see. gameplay looks the same as last year for the most part. one thing that stuck out was the lack of boxing out. i thought rebounding was revamped? check it out around 5:45...4 celtics standing there while one clipper comes flying in untouched for a putback attempt? same with around 6:45. come on where are the fights down low for position??? don't think i saw more than maybe 2 example of 1 guy boxing out the whole time.

haha that's actually realistic. There are probably twenty players in the NBA who actually box out.
