there's a lot of good in here and some bad as in some of the same physics bending stuff of years past. the signature moves and dribbling look unreal but some of the looney tune animations creep up in the trailer. the block highlights look weird like the 12" jump with the out-stretched stuff arm stabbing at dead air. and the one legend block where it's blocked straight down off the guys head (forget who was doing what here). hope this stuff is gone in the game and we get more dynamic physics and movement. great first glimpse though and the positives far out-weigh the negatives.
Anyone else notice that classic teams still may not have warm-ups? It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have since the current teams do.

Man this game looks great. BJ finally got his real hawk and tats so does Monta... hell everybody! 2k12 is going to be the greatest game this year. Soon as I seen this trailer i looked at my Madden 12 and said when 10-04-2011 comes me and you are through lol. I can't wait to kill the game with the Knicks... Gameplay looks smooth as f..k and it seems like everybody got they shoes this year. I know I seen the Kobe 6 and Lebron 9 on here and looks like D-Wade rockin the Fly Wade... wonder if D-Rose has his shoe on the game cause I seen him rockin the Lightspeed... don't really think I'm going to use the historic teams that much probably play with the Charlotte Hornets one time since that's where I'm from but other than that I don't see me playing any historic games

Watching that trailer right after Madden Drops is depressing. The 2K basketball series is so good and polished, makes you wonder where their football game would be at this point..
OMFG.....2k, y'all have done it again.....Cmon October 4th.....that shhhhh looked so freaking good.......

Looks good, i'm loving some of the new animations. Thanks to 2k for releasing this even though the stupid lockout is still going.

In re: the trailer....
**sheepishly emails my supervisor a leave request for Oct. 3-7, rather than explain in person why a grown a*s*s man will need a week off to play a video game**
WOW! Speechless. I had to watch it a dozen times to collect all my thoughts.
First, consider the bar raised yet again by 2K. Whatever the ETA was for NBA Elite from EA, add another year to it. You guys got your work cut out for you. Proof positive that a game can improve and draw renewed excitement every year from the masses.
2K is going for the jugular with this game and EA should protect their necks because the standard it seems that 2K is attempting to set, is a standard that is strongly making a claim to rank NBA 2K as the premier sports game in the entire industry, not just the genre. Visually it looks to already be there with the visual improvements over '11, but if they add to those visual improvements some solid gameplay along with some other new wrinkles, that will only cement that claim.
