i actually may have to take that back somewhat...i'm seeing a problem right at the beginning of vid #4, where Jason Kidd goes into a full sprint and then just stops on a dime unnaturally to do a pump fake...this is the first example i've seen where there needs to be a little more "gather" before he can just completely stop from a full sprint. it's not a huge problem and shouldn't really hurt the gameplay, but it's there. instead, his momentum from the sprint should have carried him forward a bit as he shot the ball...almost into a "forward moving leaner".

I'm loving the D. Wade pull up and turnaround fadeaway that was shown. Total awesomeness.

Thanks to DaWolf for posting all these vids. Got to give props to 2k as the ball physics and animations look hugely improved over 2k11. Those fast break dunks by Wade and LBJ looked so fluid and real. Can't wait to see more.........

I finally see some more authentic in-bound plays. I hope these in-bound plays vary from team to team although that maybe so much to ask.

I also notice the variation of plays being set by Miami (CPU) and not repetitive. But who knows, the videos only scope a small sample of the whole bball game.

noticing that the "full sprint" dribble in fast break situations has returned in 2k12. this is good because 2k11 didn't accurately replicate how explosively fast players get out on the fast break...especially with guys like Lebron who just get the ball and explode down the court like a freight train.

noticing a lot of new contextual pass animations...the game needed some more pass animations to account for a wider variety of situations...saw the CPU take advantage of some of these new animations, especially on the break with those "full court passes."

pretty much all of the areas on my wish list have been addressed and have been addressed properly...2k never lets me down, and as long as they have competent people running their dev team they will continue to get my money every year.

Here's another vid from Youtube. I guess this one's not from DaWolf.

I'm loving these videos. They are awesome and I like a lot of what I see represented. Alot of nice new animations and everything definitely looks more fluid and smooth. However one thing is irking me as someone who appreciates details. LeBron James logo positioning is incorrect. They corrected it last year, and I hope they correct it this year. LeBron wears his headband with his NBA logo in the center. Not to the side as is shown in these videos. It just irks me this little detail was corrected last year so im hopeful it will be fixed. Not saying it's the most important thing in the world just something I hope is fixed. For example

the most encouraging improvement I'm seeing is the jumpshots...they are much faster and you can pull up much more quickly...in 2k11, if you were moving and wanted to pull up for a jumper, your player would "gather" for like 2 or 3 steps to stop his momentum before he could even start his shooting motion...now you can stop and pop with super quick jumpers.

in fact, it seems like most of the shot types are just quicker and more responsive with less "gather" to slow you down.
The slow attempts to score(not just jumpshots) lead to a lot of block shots. Hopefully this will reduce that issue.

If I remember correctly, there was a bounce pass on a fast break. I also so LeBron do a momentum-based one-handed pass while sorta hopping into the pass animation.

yeah, that CPU bounce pass to Lebron on the break for the dunk was pretty sweet.

Thanks Wolf.

Is the new free throw system already in place in the demo you played? And if it is how it is like?

Yeah that was weird - it was exactly the same. Only difference being that you get a percentage after your shot on how good your release was.

Did you see any 2011 rookies on the Heat or Mavs teams?

Ah too bad. I'm sure that they will change it later on. At least I remember reading somewhere that they intend to change it.

I guess youre right about 2 different shots. But the one from 3 feels so great - it may look slow but its totally natural and one of the best shots from the demo.

Hopefully there's something like the MP combines this year in the demo. Something we can really sink our teeth into and it will be meaningfull once we have our copies of the game.
